Cumulus Support

I have downloaded filezilla but don't get the screen that is shown on the cumulus wiki.

Apologies, but could you tell me the next step - I'm close to giving up.

This is Filezilla server not Filezilla Client, you have downloaded and installed the wrong product. Uninstall this and install this https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client

You logged onto your FTP site.

the directory is infront of you.
public_html (highlighted in yellow) THAT IS THE DIRECTORY

now edit your cumulus ftp details where it says DIRECTORY, and enter in public_html

that is IT.

IT IS NOT "web/content"

And I am sorry but why oh why are you asking Cumulus to load the configuration files on the files segment.

You do NOT do it there you load them once and ONCE only via FileZilla.

@water01. I am the friend who initially set this site up successfully for Scott and a number of other users. It was a few years back.It is hard for some to understand just how difficult and complex this is for non computer types (they do exist!), mainly because they don't understand the jargon that is thrown at them by people who do this stuff all of the time. It doesn't mean they are stupid.
I initially suggested that the directory should be public-html but this failed and it was 1-2-3 that said their root directory for ftp uploads was web/content, which is in fact a sub-directory of public_html but the former wasn't included in the pathway.
Incidentally you are completely wrong to say that he shouldn't use the Cumulus FTP loader to upload his one off static configuration files. I have often used it for that purpose, it is just a simplified FTP loader like Filezilla. Steve put in there for convenience to upload any individual files you might want to add without the need for another FTP loader. Once uploaded you can just delete them from the <internet > configuration files menu of Cumulus.
