Maplin/Fine Offset WH1081 - discrepancies between Base Station & Cumulus

Post by Hundredacres »

Hi,
Used Cumulus successfully with Windows 7 using Maplin WH1081 weather station for a couple of years.

Upgraded to W10 last year and never got round to re-installing Cumulus until now - New Year's Resolution!

Replaced batteries in base station & weather station, seems to be working OK in terms of credibility of readings on base station.

Downloaded & installed Cumulus - selected "Fine Offset WH 1980" & selected location data, units etc.

My issue is that the data displayed on the base station doesn't correspond with data in Cumulus!

e.g. Temp on Cumulus reads 6.8C and appears to be stuck - outside temperature on base station is currently 3.4C and has been dropping. Outside RH reads 12% (!) & is stuck - base station displays 93% (credible).

Other discrepancies between Cumulus & base station display.

Uninstalled Cumulus, deleted all files in c:/cumulus & re-installed and reconfigured. No change!

"New Record" green light on "status" is flashing.

Any ideas?

Help!

Do you have any spike removal settings configured? If you zip up the MX diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look when I get chance (as you will have read, I am on long term holiday)

Hi Steve,

Many thanks for the prompt reply!

I've never altered any of the spike removal settings so they are default "999" values.

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look when I am on my laptop rather than this iPad.

You've made a mistake in quoting the model number (it's 1081) . ;)

So are you absolutely sure that you have NOT selected the FO model with UV/Lght Sensors?

Did you copy your data files over from the old PC/Installation? If not, you will get lots of New Records (Green Light).

Cheers, Alan.
