inaccurate readings

Post by garybuska »

Hello
I am using a Ambient WS2090 and the other day when I started Cumulus It said there was a new record when I looked at I new it was wrong it said there was a new lowest wind chill of -15.5 in Jacksonville Florida in the month of August! No way in the world.
How do I edit this to a more realistc value or have no value at all shown.
The other question is will Cumulus correct itself ? :?:

There is a lot of information in the FAQ and Wiki about correcting data and records.

Are you using the 'spike removal' settings in Cumulus? These help to filter out the one-off bad readings that Fine Offset stations tend to produce.

Do you have the correct station type selected? Having the wrong type selected is one way of getting bad readings at start up.
The other question is will Cumulus correct itself ?
I'm not sure what you mean by this. Will Cumulus suddenly realise that you don't get a wind chill of -15 in Florida in August and correct that record? Sorry, no, it's not that clever.
