I tried some different batteries, and also cleaned the contacts. I tried IKEA and Duracell.harrym1byt wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jan 2022 6:46 pmAre you sure it's not cheap, old batteries you are fitting? My sensor are pole mounted at the top / far end of my garage. I ran a two core from the battery pins in the unit, down into the garage so they were easier to relplace when necessary and running from larger batteries for longer life.kuro68k wrote: ↑Mon 10 Jan 2022 4:04 pm Does anyone happen to know if this would be a suitable replacement for my Maplin Fine Offset WH1080?

I think the transmitter part is dead, it works for a few days or weeks after I change the batteries but then stops.

I am using rtl433 which is based on SDR to receive the data from two 1080 transmitters (purchased from Greenfrog Scientific) and just used a cheap £15 aerial (from
my pocket air band radio receiver) .
One transmitter is in the garage connected to the wind sensors on the roof and the other is on the garden fence connected
to the water sensor. rtl433 send data stream to HIVEMQ broker and I wrote some python script to read the broker and create an Easyweather.dat file.
(all on a raspberry Pi 4 )
