Hi there,
I'm new on this forum and also new in using weather software. I've just bought a WS5000 /WH3100 weather station and set it up. It is working fine now and I've also connected the set to the cumulus software. No problem.
But there is a little problem; the display of the weather station is in the living room and my computer in the study.
The weather station can be connected by USB. and I would like to connect wireless.
I've been looking on the Internet and found out that it is possible to connect the usb port to a miniX android computer and use it that way with the meteohub software.
My question is, is it possible to do the same with the cumulus program instead of the meteohub software? (http://wiki.meteohub.de/Setup_MiniX#Start_Meteohub) and can anyone help me with the setup?
Welcome to the Cumulus Support forum.

Cumulus runs on Windows, so unless you can run Windows on that device, you can't do the same thing with Cumulus. I'm looking into the possibility in the future of a Linux version of Cumulus, but that is some way off.

Ha die Erik.
(that concludes the Dutch lesson of today)
Another option MIGHT be to get a second console for the WS5000 (WH3081/Watson mumblemumle solar). I have been informed that two consoles will happily hook up to the same sensor kit. Thusly, you could have a console acting as your data collector in the study, and a second console in the living room.
I may be trying this out shortly, actually.

OK, bedankt (for the dutch!)
I think that's a solution but for the price! I don't know if it will work. Probably it does. Bit expensive.
But Inform me if you've tried it out.

Just tried it. The second console connects in seconds. They both receive the updates, and Cumulus seems unaffected.
So: yes, that works.

Re: mini-x android mini computer
tnx.
I'll consider the option.
At the moment I don't know what to do. I like the minicomputer for the reason I can leave it on and connected tot the Internet en have my data "on-line".
When I just buy a second set, I still have to leave my computer on for 24/7 to let Cumulus sent the data to the Internet. Maybe I "ll go for the mini-x in combination with Meteohub.
Thanks anyway.

In the UK, you can buy a Watson W8681Solar console (which, IIRC, is identical to the Alecto console) for as little as.... lemme check: 50 quid.

edit: yep, the W8681 Solar is the one. Lookie here:
