WH1081 Date on Weather Station

This morning! I noticed that my WH1081 date on the weather station from Maplin, displayed 29/02/09 and it should have been "1/3/09" has anyone else noticed this?

luckily it did not corrupt any data in Cumulus.

Also today I have set-up my own website It has now been working for just over two months and it has accumulated some interesting statistics. Please have a look at

Now you mention it. My WH-1081 is showing 1/3/2009 when it should be 2/3/2009. Maybe we should email the Manufacturers?
EasyWeather data looks all ok so it must just be a Desktop Display thing.

Hi Thank you for your reply to my message. Yes we could send an E-Mail to the Manufacturers and see what they say. I will send them an E-Mail today.

No I don't think it is that what has caused it, my time zone is set at 0 for the UK.

No Timezones on WH1081. I would guess that the Desktop display is not smart enough to recognise that 2009 is not a leap year.

I'm glad I found this thread, as I've just come back from a week's holiday to find the display saying 04/03/09 instead of 05/03/09. I thought I must have done something wrong when I set the date originally but obviously it's a widespread bug.

I'm happy to send an email to the manufacturers too. Does anyone have an address for them, or do we send it via Maplin?

I have sent an E-Mail to Maplin about this problem. I will post when I get a response from them. I have got the Fine Offset Electronics website but I could not find a way of contacting them with out a company name.

The date on mine has not been affected, and I check it every day, as it's on the side next to my bed.
