Weather forecast images
Hi all, I have a question...
Using the forecast data from Cumulus (that updates to the realtime.txt on my host) I have made it so show images on my site and not words. But the question is....
How or what code do I use to the images to show day time eg 'sun' in the day time and night time eg 'moon' at night, I have tried a 'if' statement for time, but when I do the images to not show.
Any help on this would be grate
I have the jquery.js file as my starting point.
Cheers

I'm no expert, far from it, but you might find this thread answers your question https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... it=+webtag
Using this approach I was able to do it on my site.

Thanks for all your help on this...
Just one thing for the <#isdaylight> to work so you need to have a solar sensor? or dose Cumulus work that out from other data eg the current time at the station
Cheers

Re: Weather forecast images
<#isdaylight> tells you that it's between dawn and dusk so requires no sensor input.

Re: Weather forecast images
Is the problem just in realtime.txt, or does the web tag also give zero? Can you give a link to your realtime.txt file? Are the dawn and dusk times on your Cumulus main screen correct?

Re: Weather forecast images
Hi all
the Sun Rise and Sun Set on the Cumulus display is right, so I have no idea why its not changing from '0' to '1' in the day time. Could there be something that I have not set in the Cumulus setup? I am running Version 1.9.2 build 1027
Thanks

Yep, confusion between #isdaylight and #IsSunny I think.

Re: Weather forecast images
So the tag should be #IsSunny and not #isdaylight?

Re: Weather forecast images
I'm completely lost now. Are you using a web tag or realtime.txt?
<#IsSunny> Returns 1 if the sun is shining, otherwise 0. Requires your station to have a solar sensor.
<#isdaylight> Returns 1 if currently within daylight hours (i.e. between dawn and dusk), 0 if not
<#IsSunUp> Returns 1 if the sun is up (i.e. it is currently between sunrise and sunset), 0 if not
The equivalent of <#isdaylight> is at position 50 in realtime.txt. The equivalent of <#IsSunny> is at position 58 in realtime.txt. There is no equivalent of <#IsSunUp> in realtime.txt.
