Hi everyone,
Is there somewhere that I can get a reading of the current barometric pressure for my area in Milton Keynes so that I can set my station to the correct level.

Re: Air Pressure
Here's a calculator you can use to find out your correct sea-level or 'rel' pressure.
You enter your station altitude and 'abs' pressure reading to get your corrected to sea-level pressure.

Re: Air Pressure
You can always try this page for actual observations:
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/observations/
I was hoping for something like we have in Oz - the Bureau of Met have all their AWS's on line with regular (some hourly, some more frequent) readings from them - I have one about 2 km from my station so checking accuracy is quite easy.
You might find a better page, but use that one to find the closest obs to your location - or even those surrounding it, and that should help you calibrate your station properly.

Punctuation is the difference between 'Let's eat, grandma' and 'Let's eat grandma'

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.
