Introduction to Greek Meteorology!

Post by Meteoclub »

Hello to everyone!
First of all i want to congratulate Steve for the creation of the program "Cumulus" and the forum here :)
I have the website "Meteoclub.gr" which is a greek community website about Meteorology.
I already have hosted 3 weather stations "National Geographic - 265NE" with the program "Cumulus" which are :
http://metamorfosi.meteoclub.gr/
http://neopsichiko.meteoclub.gr/
http://dionysos.meteoclub.gr/
...and i will continue to host more weather stations inside Meteoclub.gr with the cumulus program.
These stations are from regions of Athens - Greece :)

Keep on the great job!

Good Morning.
Actually i haven't tried to install Heavyweather to work with 265NE. The simultaneous run of Cumulus and Easyweather is a bad idea (At least for me) because appears a weird malfuction in Easyweather software , and the weather data (See 5893c or 3087hPa !!) So i'm working only the Cumulus Software.
Now for the performance of the weather station 265NE.
Since yesterday i was testing the weather station at very "tough" conditions and the conclution made me happy.
1. The external temp sensor MUST have the cage , the values i took was about -0.3c to -0.5c instead of the other 2 external temp sensors i have got (in the same position).
1b. The external temp sensor MUST be in the shadow , the cage of the sensor isn't enough to protect the sensor from the sun so it is prefferable to put the sensor in the shadow.
1c. The internal temp sensor , has an issue , somehow it counts about +1c to +1.5c.
No problem is observed with Rain gauge and the wind meter and gauge also.
2. The transmitter sends data to the touch screen panel every 17-20 seconds, so it is prefferable to use Lithium batteries instead of simple AA 1.5v batteries.
And the last one , i think that the weather station is very competitive with other models.
Regards , Stelios

For everybody :)

The weather station just gets confused if two things are talking to it at the same time.
