My WH 1050 Weather Station has stopped showing the outside temperature
What can I do to remedy that please?

Temperature sensor is the transmitter and the only way I know of fixing it is to take the transmitter apart and checking the soldered joints. If nothing is obvious it could be that the sensor has died and needs to be replaced.

Did you try removing the usb cable and batteries from both the receiver and transmitter and rebooting the system.
Were you still receiving external humidity and wind speed/direction info etc.?
