Aercus Weather Ranger

I am looking to buy an Aercus Weather Ranger , weather station. £249 Amazon.

I like it as it has UV and Sun light, recording on top of the standard measurements.

I know it is tied to Weather Under Ground, but is there a way of getting it to run on cumulus?

What else equivalent is there other wise?

Thanks
Ian

You can connect just about any Fine Offset clone station to Cumulus MX if you add an Ecowitt GW1000. Just make sure that the frequency matches your station as the GW1000 can be purchased with 433, 868, and 915 MHz. You can't change the frequency, it has to be ordered with the right frequency.

Hello there.

Just spotted your reply regarding the Aercus Weatherranger and using the GW1000. I understand the GW1000 is available on the Amazon UK website... do you know if it is the Aercus Weatherranger 433MHz version please? (It doesn't appear to specify). I have continuously dropping wi-fi on the WR console plus I would like to use Cumulus again. So the GW1000 appears to be the obvious solution.

Many thanks
Tim

I can now answer my own question. Thanks to a "Derek S" on Amazon, it appears that As per the Ecowitt site, all items offered for sale on Amazon UK are 868 Mhz.
Shame... I now need to find a GW1000 433 MHz source. Anyone help please?

I got my GW1100C 433mhz from Ecowitt @ https://www.ecowitt.com/shop/goodsDetail/107 in Dec last year and it works with CumulusMX which has to run 24/7 as there is no data stored on the GW1100C. It does send data to Ecowitt.net/"your data" and have not had a dropout with the GW1100C.
