Cumulus weather station map
Are there any plans to get the map of Cumulus stations back in action? I do miss it! I used it a lot whenever there was severe weather events around, so I could see if any stations were recording any interesting stats.

Nice idea but it should be automated with a keep alive signal. Can't be too difficult , will take some time before it is penetrated in the installed base though. Keepin a map up to date manually seems impossible.

Ehm... notification of the station owners? They must be willing to give you the info and maintain it (you yourself could check if they still exist). But anyway, I would say a small timer in Cumulus which gives a live signal to a small server which updates a map and copies is once a week to the wiki would be handy. Yes?

Re: Cumulus weather station map
Why would owners of weather stations want to keep their location hidden? Surely the whole point of providing weather info is to show what the weather is like where you live. Otherwise, what's the point?
I've embedded a Google map on my website for years and had no issues. In fact, I've had a visit from a chap who was interested in my service and wanted to chat about it.
