I have a concern that my wind gauge is under recording so the plan is to go into a nearby field where there is no nearby trees and check. I have a spare station (same model) and wondered if they would interfere with each other's transmission of data. I don't see any way of changing the frequency of transmission so I guess they will clash, but just in case anyone has any further knowledge.
I would rather not switch off the live one.
Both stations are Watson WH1080's
thanks

Placing a metal can over the unit should stop the signal.

But how could he then compare readingsTony wrote:Placing a metal can over the unit should stop the signal.
You don't say daj if you are also taking the base unit out there, if so, simply move 'out of range' of the house 'base' and the 'house' xmitter unit (ie. 30+m)
As implied by this thread, you will need to run TWO installations of Cumulus, the second (with the first closed down) to read the log of your field readings without contaminating your current data base.

Re: Will two w/stations clash
I was going to be far less scientific!! Rather than run two Cumulus's (Cumuli???!!) I would take the second base station and handheld console into the field and note down the readings over a 10-15 minute period. Then come back and see what Cumulus recorded with the current setup.
Of course the best laid plans....I have been in Wiki mode this weekend so never made it into the field. I did add a multiplier to my wind reading and I am happier that it is now within a range of what I expect, however I will go a stage further and do my field test.
