Hi All,
Please note that my domain name of the weather website has changed.
I've moved to a different location in the Pickering (Ontario) area, and there's no longer an affiliation with the 'Altona Forest'.
Please note the change in URL:
OLD: Altona Forest Weather
NEW: Pickering Weather (http://www.pickeringweather.ca)
Enjoy the new addditions (and soon the return of the realtime weather station updates!!!!)
Cheers,
Arthur

Arthur,
Be aware that if you modify your lat/lon and upload to WU they could treat your station as a new one. Not preaching you understand. Just drawing your attention to what may happen with your WU account.

Re: Domain Name Change
Thanks Ian for the changes in the Cumulus Global website!!
I still have to figure out the exact coordinates, however I would like to keep my previous data with WU (as Ray pointed out) and my new location is 'only' < 3 km away from the existing Lat/Long so I might keep it the same.
Keep you inormed if changes will be made,
Cheers,
Arthur

Re: Domain Name Change
Perhaps you can slowly migrate the location, a few blocks each week/couple of days?Note: If you are moving your station more than a few blocks from it's current location, you should sign up for a new station ID instead of editing your station information under the existing ID.

Re: Domain Name Change
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your advise.
My question in relation to WU is if they look at the (correct) coordinates, or the Station ID to keep the database relevant??
When I first started my Weather Station "adventure" some 4 years ago, I registered with WU (IONTARIO232).
After being inactive for 2 years, I last year (2012) changed the name and location (Alton Forest Weather) and ran this ID till May 1st of this year (building a data base from May 07 2012 till May 01 2013).
I now will change location again (Name has been changed), but keep the same ID with WU.
There's only a slight change in coordinates:
Lat old = 43.8226 TO Lat new = 43.8375 | Long old = -79.1366 TO Long new = -79.0808
Is WU looking at the re-newed coordinates to keep the Database for IONTARIO232 in tact??
I've changed the name on WU and now changed the coordinates as well. (currently 43.8300 | -79.1300)
Thanks,
Arthur
