Re: Bit of a breeze
Managed a gust speed of 60.1kmh at 2004 this evening, just .4kmh shy of my highest gust recording on November 22 2012.
Have broken the 10min average wind speed record today though - 28.1kmh at 2014 .
Looks like mad march is actually happening in April

“It's snowing still," said Eeyore gloomily.
"So it is."
"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately.”

47mph (75.6kph) recorded at 22:00 tonight. Highest April gust (going back to 2010) and just short of my all-time record of 52mph back in Jan 2012.

Yeah but Scotland is on a whole other level, when I lived up in the Shetlands, we had a 125mph wind recorded, it was so bad, the Lerwick ferry was severely rocking, still tied to the dock

Re: Bit of a breeze
It's quite breezy here as well, the highest gust was 41 km/h at 11:22 a.m. so far at my station.
But the official DWD weather station which lies just behind the dike, close to the shore and thus much more exposed to the wind had gusts up to 72 km/h.
