Thunder & Lightning! Did it survive?

Post by 6719jason »

I dont know about everyone else who owns a Watson w-8681 or Wh1081 weather station, but i did feel for my poor weather station as the Thunder & Lightning that arrived at 9pm took hold. As a precaution, I quickly powered down my server pc and let the base station take over!

I am pleased to report that, during the 60min period of Thunder & Lightning, it didnt miss a beat, and it has survived to live another day!

It recorded some good data, much to my surprise!

Glad to see the lightning go really, but I am sure it will return soon.

Please after reading this, take the time to browse my redesigned website, on its new host and new domain with extra pages!

Appologies to all those who tried to view my new redesign, I recently updated the software and forgot to update the Cumulus Templates.

All links now work.

Many thank to Ken, who left me a guestbook comment.

Jason. It might be a good idea to modify your wind direction pointer as shown in another thread. I found that the Duct Tape works well. https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... e&start=60
Looking at your direction graph the pointer seems to be running like a windmill? :-)
