How to find rainfall year-to-date for my area?

Hi there,

Wanting to keep my records as up to date as possible I would really like to fill in the 'Rainfall this year' section.

Where - if anywhere - is the best place to go find about such things for Banbury, Oxfordshire please?

Hello GlynH..

you could try getting your current rainfall for past 2 months and also current month for your area, by going to the weather underground stations History pages, and looking at the data for the closest station or Metar to your own location.

perhaps from here:

just choose each month: January, febuary and March, and add up rainfall for them and that will give you total for year to date so far.

Hello again Chris,

I'm following you around this morning...

I found an established local weather station @ 5 miles from me and saw that he had recorded 118.4mm YTD with his VP2

Looking further I found another local-ish which had recorded 98mm YTD.

So I took a view and called 100mm - that way it would be easy to subtract that nice round figure from my own to see at a glance how much my Weather Station has recorded in future.
