The 26th, for the third day running, broke the Feb temp record and hit 21C for the first time. Admittedly my sheltered back garden will have had an effect especially with very little wind despite the daytime FARS.

It has been a while for a new station record, but today got the lowest Humidity at 16% - since 2008. If felt quite nice in cool but bright sunshine.

Enjoy,
Paul

Four all-time temperature records broken today in what has been an extremely hot day across both the UK and western Europe. Unprecedented for this station in over 10 years of recording. The previous high was 32.1C on 1 July 2015 so it's been well and truly smashed! :o

That is impressive hot air... But July not quite up to your 2018 July high average.

Enjoy, and keep cool...

July 2018 was very different. Sustained heat but with lower humidity so more comfortable. This year we’ve had heatwaves lasting just a few days. But today’s was exceptional with heat sourced in Africa being drawn up over France. Gone 23:00 and still 23°C. Not good.

Not quite as impressive - a tad cooler but more humid further out towards the fields.

Mark, I did notice the wind dropped around the time the max was reached suggesting my enclosed garden was trapping heat. Not much I can do about that really. The real measurement of comfort is the dew point. That made it very uncomfortable all evening.

Disappointing down here in terms of temps. I haven't even managed to get to 30°C yet. That's the first time in 4 years.

Another horrendous day in Cheadle Hulme with 1.5" (38mm) of rain up to 7pm. That is on top of the 1.85" that fell on Sunday making this July the wettest in this station's history going back to 2009.
