Agreed Mark. I’ve only had 8% of average rainfall in June and with nothing forecast before the weekend that will be another record gone.
How long before comparisons are made with 1976? Youngsters may need to google that! :D

20.8°C. Min was 9.7°C; max was 30.5°C. Wow! :o

So that record works on the older Cumulus then? That backs up my confirmation that it doesn't work on CMX. 3 or 4 times this year I have broken that record, but it doesn't acknowledge it.

Less than 2% of the June average rainfall here. Weirdly though, I haven't beaten this years high temp yet, 27.4C which was back on May 7th. Very strange to be honest.

Presumably you are referring to the newrecord web tag rather than the actual recording of the record (which I am confident works in MX)? I explained previously how MX differs from Cumulus 1 and hence why the newrecord web tag does not get set for records which apply to a particular day. To repeat again, it is because MX turns off the tag itself on the following day as there is no mechanism for turning off the tag manually. With records that apply to a whole day, this means the web tag is effectively immediately cleared once the daily rollover has occurred.

The tag works, yes, but not for the temperature range. I'm 99% certain that it did work in a previous build of CMX. You say the the tag is immediately cleared after the rollover, but the record has always occurred in the afternoon and the new record webtag isn't being set to 1 as soon as it happens. Surely that would be the correct way for it to work?

I broke the record back in May, and just by chance, I was at my PC when the temp got to it's max - circa 3pm. The full website update that occurred after that showed the the temp range of 18.9°C. I was like 'ah, a new record', but <#newrecord> was 0.

I completely understand it resetting at the rollover time, just not the fact it doesn't set it to 1 right after the record has been broken.

The check for the high and low daily temperature ranges records being broken is done at the end of the day, when the day's maximum and minimum temperatures are known.

A most unusual June 2018 has just finished. Two all-time records broken and three monthly ones ...

All-Time
Highest Daily Range 20.8°C on 25th
Lowest Monthly Rainfall 0.22" (6mm)

Monthly
Highest Temp 31.6°C on 26th
Lowest Humidity 22% on 28th
Longest Dry Period 14 days (and continuing)

Record amounts of sunshine as recorded by my solar panels. Same in May too. Can't recall two such sunny months. :D

Sometimes it is feeling like a max of 1.6 would be quite nice, mid 20's is enough for me.

Ditto! But in a perverse sort of way I do get excited when the possibility of a new record is about to be broken. :D

I was on for a new record for consecutive days without rain.. if it had stayed dry, it would have been 15 days. But, no, it had to rain a pathetic amount and ruin it. :(

I'm only on 11 days here, though forecast is looking good for more dry spells, though whether it will beat the 17 days from May 2017 is another thing.

Just broken the dry period record here, with 21 days. Parched grass everywhere!
