The June highest minimum record was broken again yesterday. 18.9C. Crikey! :o

I use midnight stats, but using 21:00 - 09:00 like the met office, last nights (will be 26/06) highest min was 21.1 °C!

That beats my all-time of 20.2C back in July 2016 which I had to manually edit otherwise the record would have been overwritten because of the midnight-midlight recording period.

It smashes my previous all-time record of 18.8 as well.

Another unwelcome record has been set. 14 consecutive days with rainfall makes this a Monthly record for July. By tomorrow it will be 15 as it's raining as I type this.

Only rained the last 3 days (Tues, Wed, Thu) here, and it is dry today (Fri), I wondered who was getting all the rain mentioned in weather forecasts.

I've had rain every day since 25th June. The 29th of June and 3rd July didn't record any tips, but it still rained on both those days.

Yup, 15 days continuous for me now - it's getting a bit depressing :(

You’re telling me Mark. 31.5°C on 25 June and just 13.9°C four days later.

I see you still need to change your user profile to say Alcaston, but I'm not surprised to see South Shropshire, like Cheshire, getting lots of rain.

Whilst on the subject of locations I had to look up where 'The Marches" is. I imagine foreigners wouldn't have a clue. County perhaps? :D

Likely to be a new all-time max temp for me on Saturday - a rare set up for coastal areas.

MetOffice UKV model:
viewimage (3).png
32 - 33°C here.

That'll be the highest temp ever, beating 2003.

Might not get below 27°C in parts of London overnight in to Sunday, that would be a new record for England.

This is mostly an English (or UK) thread of records I guess, but seeing these temperatures makes me really wonder about the fire risk in the UK, especially the southern part of it. As EFFIS is now on the 'high danger' level for the fire danger forecast I am wondering if any of you on the other side of the channel would be interested to carry the pwsFWI on your site.

And are there actual forest fires in the UK?
Anyway, it is expected forest fires move north so that should be represented in the risk value during the season.

We tend to get more moorland fires than forest fires - not many real forests left. The fires were quite bad last year, but not much so far this year. With the moors being peat, the fire can burn down into the ground and be difficult to extinguish.
