Hi,
Cheers, Alan.
No, the Fine Offset (anemometer) transmits two values, the "Gust" is calculated from the number of revolutions of the anemometer in two seconds and the "Average" from the number of revolutions in 48 seconds. Cumulus can then calculate the average over 10 minutes, but read the settings/options carefully because it may take the average of the gusts (which typically can be twice as high as the FO average value). But the Davis that you appear to have is completely different.WindyWindy wrote: fine offset use 1min wind gusts whats the differents?
And what speed does a "fast" car do? That's why Beaufort devised his scale, where the lowest speed that specifically uses the term "Wind" is "High Wind" at 50 kph, 30 mph, which most people would consider "Windy". But I suspect that many would also consider Beaufort's "Strong Breeze" to be "Windy".WindyWindy wrote:i dont understand what Wind speed is Windy?
