Hi All,
There was a terrific "Spanish Plume" thuderstorm on the 19/5/14.
I thought there would have a post or two about it here!
The storm moved over my location over the course of several hours and produced the most dramatic lightning I think I've ever seen from here.
I quickly set up one of the CCTV video cameras I use for NLC observing and used some motion capture software to try and catch the flashes.
It's a pity I didn't have an audio feed as some of the brighter flashes were very close, only ~300m - 500m above and the thunder was tremendous.
