Re: Web Reports not being generated.

Hi Albert, thanks for supplying the MXdiags log file in a previous reply. Unfortunately it doesn't cover the period of the end of the day when the report files should be uploaded. Could you please supply a diags log file that contains your 09:00 rollover so we can see what happens around that time?

Re: Graphs source data

Source code is on GitHub: https://github.com/cumulusmx/CumulusMX

It is written in c# which is pretty easy to follow.

Re: Graphs source data

When MX is running it records one minute data for the graphs and stores it in an internal SQLite database. If you have MX switched off for a period of time then switch back on, the graphs for the period of your switch-off will be generated based on your interval setting, as that is what is available...

Re: Lightning

Sorry to butt in - surely if you convert km to miles then the values will be smaller? 1 mile = 1.6 km.

Advance warning of potential disruption to notification emails

The location of the forum email server is undergoing electrical works during the two week period 30 January 2023 to 10 February 2023. This means that the email server may be offline for short periods of time. This will result in some delay or loss of forum notification emails for short periods of ti...

Re: Davis #altimeterpressure tag

CumulusMX was elevation set to 350-ft
Is this a typo, or is it really set to 350?

Re: Davis #altimeterpressure tag

My testing says it does not. Which brings me back to the theory that there is something not quite right with your MX configuration. If it was a fault in the program then it would have become apparent before now, considering the large number of MX installations. I have used MX (and its predecessor) ...

Re: Davis #altimeterpressure tag

"press" reports (or should report) mean sea level pressure. See the wiki: https://www.cumuluswiki.org/a/Full_list_of_Webtags

Re: Davis #altimeterpressure tag

I am about 850-ft above sea level and using that value in Cumulus. The current 30.2 reading also matches the Davis (in-house) console display. The Davis console is also set to 850-ft above sea level so the console is also adjusting for altitude. My nearest airport (KOXR Oxnard) is 4-miles from me, a...

Re: Davis #altimeterpressure tag

Just reading some of your earlier comments - I definitely think you've got your station altitude set to something near sea level - or perhaps the altitude setting in your console itself. This is incorrect - it should be set to the altitude of your console. This is why you are seeing such a big diffe...

Re: Davis #altimeterpressure tag

There's still something odd about your setup. press and altimeterpressure should be within about 0.05 to 0.1 inches of each other. You're showing a difference of 0.86 inches which is way too high. It actually equates to about 875 feet in altitude. In the admin interface - under Settings -> Station s...

Re: Davis #altimeterpressure tag

You have attached the page template. The data file used to populate the page may be a better starting point: websitedataT.json. It is the "press" value that I believe is used in the standard template. There's nothing to stop you changing that, however, and including the "altimeterpres...

Re: Davis #altimeterpressure tag

I have a VP2 and am at 148m (486 ft) AMSL and get the following readings currently: {"press":"1032.61","altimeterpressure":"1031.2"} As I understand it, "press" returns the air pressure adjusted to sea level using a complex formula that includes comp...
