Hi Steve
As sods law would have it we've only had very light drizzle since I tried various tests but I have had a couple of correct on/off pairs.
So yes, as far as I am concerned, the option would be useful and of course others don't have to use it.
Thanks
Alan

Re: Hydreon double tips
Hi I tried the resistor from pin 6 to 7 but then got no tips at all (USB/serial adapter). Then back to a no resistor no capacitor and had multiple on/off's but no additional tip when Cumulus starts so it was the capacitor. Anyway back to the capacitor which cured the multiples and I'll just live wit...

Re: Hydreon RG-11 results
Hi Next time we get some rain I'll set the debug log on to see if the Cumulus unit is reporting as it should. The differences at the manual site is puzzling as the units are close together about 1M above the ground. The Cumulus RG11 is sited on a mast (not ideal but fairly close to the bucket on a f...

Latest wind
Hi I've not had a chance to watch the FO screen and Cumulus at the same time before and it's raised a question in my mind. The FO screen has been fairly steady at around 10-11 knots for several minutes but Cumulus latest wind has been steady around 15-16 knots although the green sector does show the...

Re: Connecting the Hydreon RG11 digital rain sensor.
Hi
Maybe it is to do with the capacitor I put in. Incidentally the new bucket is attached to the logger not Cumulus - that's the original.

Re: Connecting the Hydreon RG11 digital rain sensor.
Hi I checked the Clas new FO bucket and it is NO. Could it simply be that as Cumulus starts the message is, in effect, a change from 'don't know' to either open or closed. I think Steve thought an OPTION to ignore the first tip would be possible so that would cover whatever happens to occur - certai...

Re: Connecting the Hydreon RG11 digital rain sensor.
Hi Steve
I've noticed that if I have to restart Cumulus it adds one 'tip' to the RG11 count. Would it be possible to ignore the message on start.
Regards
Alan

Hi
Results 0900 28/06 to 0900 29/06
The new FO station is up and running and there is a tipping bucket at the manual gauge site. But no reliable data as the new FO took a while to set up. Should be OK tomorow.
Regards
Alan

Two displays
Hi I have replaced my FO station with one from Clas Ohlson (brilliant service) and as it was previously faults with the anemometer and transmitter I can run two displays. Oddly they have quite big differences in the pressure readings (7mb). It doesn't particularly matter as I can set them to my loca...

Re: Hydreon RG-11 results
Hi
The new FO weather station is installed so we should start getting more results. Since I now have a spare tipping bucket I may put it over with the manual gear.
