Had the same thing happen yesterday as windows did not shut down properly
luckily I keep a copy of all cumulus files on a memory stick.

Are there tornadoes in the UK? I may be making this up, but there are more tornadoes per square mile in the UK than anywhere else in the world. They don't often do much damage, though. Hi Pcomer
Not really, rather time consuming,
but I do enjoy making things like this and half the fun is making it for yourself
Think next time i would use 4 6mm threaded rods to make the mounting easier and more stable

Staying in Poole for a few days very nice down here just come back from a boat trip around the harbour and taking lots of photos
local weather station are showing about 24deg for today

If you're referring to spurious spikes from disconnecting the rain gauge or batteries, then I haven't experienced that. Thanks hills that's interesting both times I have removed the batteries and or sensor leads from the transmitter my station invents lots of rain perhaps I ought to remove the rece...

Does anyone know of a method of changing the batteries or in my case taking the transmitter down to do a modification (Solar shield mod MK11) and not end up inventing some rain, in my case 93.6mm today I removed the TX batteries first, then unplugged the sensor cables Putting it back together insert...

Finished the solar fan mod working very well for such a small and cheep fan
I put the solar panel in a lunch box cut a hole for the panel and sealed it with silicon sealant with a piece of clear acrylic on the outside
