Re: Ecowitt Api Historic Data

You would need to go back to a backup from before "the gap". I "Thought" I tried my midnight one before the 9:00 last update issue, but maybe the Linux archiver didn't overwrite as expected. Success!!! I used a backup from before 'the gap' AND deleted my Mar22log.txt file (backe...

Re: How is your external Webcam powered?

My two oldest cameras aren't very high Res (720x???), but still produce rather good images for website usage. Were originally 12V powered & over Wifi, but local congestion became painful. Then in turn the AC plug packs failed after about 4 years, so switched them to PoE with external power split...

Re: Ecowitt Api Historic Data

You have the same error as @box was getting "API.GetHistoricData: Exception:" I have a new build to fix this. So I assume I can just keep letting things run for the time being & then when the next build is relaeased, revert to my 9:05am 15/03 data & then restart & let it all p...

Re: Ecowitt Api Historic Data

Just Restored my 9:05am backup from 15/03 & restarted MX, but still seeing the data gap. It extends from 9:00am yesterday up to the restart time. Restarted in a Terminal session & output is Screenshot 2022-03-16 120838.jpg MX Diags file is a copy I grabbed while it's still running in the Ter...

Re: Ecowitt Api Historic Data

Still haven't looked that far, but the 9:05am restart is where the problem started. 2022-03-15 09:05:15.594 GW1000 Connect attempt 1 2022-03-15 09:05:16.622 GW1000 reconnected 2022-03-15 09:05:16.622 Connected OK 2022-03-15 09:05:16.623 Reading firmware version 2022-03-15 09:05:17.646 DoCommand(CMD_...

Re: Ecowitt Api Historic Data

Strangely my Ecowitt MX install stopped logging at 9:00am Yesterday. At 9:05am a Cron Job shut it down & backed it up then Started it again. Didn't notice till around 4:00pm & at that point the Console showed no data. Could ping the GW1000 & a restart of MX made no difference. Didn't che...

Re: Ecowitt Api Historic Data

Ok, For those who are familiar with Task Scheduling, I've just found that I can have CMX Shutdown Graciously when I pull the power from my laptop. This would at least mean that MX would not be left open while the Laptop is in the Sleep State. The Trigger for the Scheduled Task is Event ID 105. Scree...

Re: Ecowitt Api Historic Data

From what I've found with WLL, with it's a test install on my laptop, is that Sleeping during a power failure is the issue. When Windows resumes, CMX receives data again & hence creates the gap. Not really a CMX issue as MX has no knowledge of it having been asleep for the matter of hours. I did...

Re: Geiger counter

Ouch, The thought about delivery time never entered my head. On the thoughts of Extra Sensor's I've always chewed that over in my mind. A few Universal Sensor inputs was one thought with a few of these points. Definable for expected range including negative values. Can be defined as "Moving Vs ...

[Edit 14/3/22 HR:] This thread has been moved from the Stevenson Screen thread in General as it became a subject in itself. I know this is a bit extreme, but @ $33, it would be fun to play with a module like this in an screen now more so than after an event we'd rather not have. https://www.aliexpr...

Re: Rain in NSW Autralia

And here on the west of the divide it's not coming. Previous events here locally would be '76 & 91 in my experience. Moree also got hit last year & also in 2012. We got above minor levels here in December too. One of the things that sticks out in local media for me is the poor urban manageme...

Re: Charts Trends

Just rechecked my remote pi3 & it's showing issues, but only on the Temp & Wind Dir charts. They have no traces, but still showing the correct data in the popup when I move the mouse over the chart area. My pi4 install, which is another Ecowitt locally is operating fine. One other thing I di...

Re: Charts Trends

Restarting MC on the Pi4 fixed its issue. It did report some errors when I stopped the service. pi@rPi-4:~ $ ./mxstop.sh ? cmx.service - CumulusMX service Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/cmx.service; enabled; vendor preset: enab Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Thu 2022-03-03 08:11:57 AE...

Re: Charts Trends

Strange, I'm running 3 installs here. Windows one is fine, but the two other stations on Pi3 & 4's are not displaying console charts correctly. Pi3 one has data at the bottom but no traces in the graph area, but the tool-tip pops up with valid data. Pi4 one has only a few options at the bottom. ...
