Or do I get mine fixed ASAP and hope my FO weather station has enou...

This is what I sent to Weather Underground: Error in XML I found that the "Current Conditions" XML feed has the following: <precip_today_string>3.57 in (9.1 mm)</precip_today_string> <precip_today_in>3.57</precip_today_in> <precip_today_metric>9.1</precip_today_metric> <history_url>http://...

Re: anemometer revolutions
I would figure from the centre of the cup to the cente of the anemeter would be the Radius (and not use the outer measurement of the cup). I was even thinking (as initially, my rain gauge was 9% under), is the speed reading correct? Might jump in the car with the anemeter a good 1/2 meter :?: out th...

Re: Cumulus widget for Nokia mobile
I have created a Cumulus Realtime widget for display of Cumulus realtime.txt data on my Nokia mobile phone. Right now it is version 0.1, alpha level, but I'd be happy to share it with any of you, and to receive feedback. I'd love to try it. Just got a Nokia N8 for my wife. I have cumulus 1.90 build...

Re: Barometric Pressure
Particular question is about the regular rising and falling of the pressure. This happens regularly on my graphs. It almost looks tidal, but I haven't compared it to tide charts. Besides at 1072m, and 50km from the ocean...... I've never seen anything like this in Canada where it takes days for the...

Re: Hi All - introduction and first purchase advice.
The Davis range seems quite expensive (over $1K) and a bit out of range in terms of budget, the Oregon Scientific seem quite reliable, and priced right but I'm having trouble locating the models listed in the 'Supported Devices' page of CumulusWiki.. Can anyone advise? Thanks, T G'day Tom, I bought...

Re: To all our Aussie friends
Thanks guys. I myself am not in Queensland, but my parents are. The floods will not be easing up anytime soon. I was just reading the paper today about Cyclone Tracy we had here in Darwin, X-mas 1974 (Cyclone season now, and one a low just formed 300km away....I had a reading of 998.4hpa). The paper...

Re: increase accuracy of fine offset rain tipper
[quote="hills"]Hi Subydaz, I've increased mine by 3 times as well with calibration of .35. Originally it was really accurate compared to my 3 manual rain gauges in anything but really heavy falls. So I increased the sides of the original collector bucket and since then it has improved a lo...

Re: increase accuracy of fine offset rain tipper
OK, so by adding a larger catchment area and using the calibration factor in Cumulus to compensate for this (eg: If I triple the catchment area of my gauge and then go under Multipliers for rainfall in Cumulus Calibration and put in 0.33) then it will be more sensitive to smaller amounts of rain an...
