Re: CUtils v7 upgrade notes

Ha.. I forgot to report back I fixed that windrun issue in beta 3 :D

But @Nossie, what reports are you talking about? If its the NOAA the please first check if it works in CMX!

Re: CUtils 7.0.0 publicbeta 3

With or without 1 makes no difference. In both cases I don't see a hostname. Aha... I now see you use Linux while the lines to skip is only for Windows. See the wiki page of sysInfo . So I don't know what line(s) you want to remove, but the Linux output does not contain sensitive info (for which th...

Re: CUtils 7.0.0 publicbeta 3

@Stigean: I did a run on my windows machine - normally not used for CMX - and it works as intended. But you no doubt remember there were problems with the previous implementation so you may have to recount the lines you wish to skip. Afaics the lines specified in the inifile are definitely not writt...

Re: Important - Highcharts Licensing

Does this also affect WeeWX, PWS Dashboard and WeatherCat as I use them all??? If they use HighCharts the answer no doubt will be yes (I don't use those tools so I don't know exactly what they use precisely). I would say Highcharts will have a hell of a job to track and trace all those users and en...

Mmm... it was rewritten after your previous complaint. So yes it is operational but apparently not functioning :(
I'll look at it.

Re: Important - Highcharts Licensing

Point is we do not need guessing, we need somebody competent to work the problem. Agreed. But I still have to clarify, that a few years ago I was managing Microsoft licensing for 10k users educational organization, so I would say my guesses are at least a bit educated. You just put yourself f...

Re: Cutils v7 migration

@Paul: indeed I confused myself and everybody else  I think I best point to the wiki . The file CutilsMenu-example-for-use.def in the distri is a good starting point with all possibilities shown. The file you use operational must be CutilsMenu.def which must reside in the utils directory (like...

ConligWX wrote: Sat 06 Apr 2024 2:37 pm HCs GPT states ALL versions need a license. not sure if this is lawful to change licensing on versions that did not require a license previously.
If we look at copyright (not the same but related) it is not lawful. You can not change copyright backward.
I would assume similar for licensing.

Re: Cutils v7 migration

@Paul: unfortunately all those links are inaccessible (see screenshot of what I see). I unlocked all blocking possibilities for ads/trackers, malware and scams but it remains no go. But try to remove the CUsermenu.txt from the server directory. It could interfere if you use both menu systems at the ...

Re: Important - Highcharts Licensing

Thanks for the post. It is a very awkward action of HighCharts. They obviously go for the money - that in itself is OK - but they ignore the parties which always have worked on their non-commercial license. It is a question if that holds in the European Economic Space (under which I believe they wor...
