Re: Historic Temperature 3.9.5 (build 3100)

UPDATE: The problem is only present on the day you upgrade to build 3100. I upgraded yesterday (or the day before actually I think) and it wasn't working, but today it is working. I have not restarted since installing and the problem fixed itself. Hopefully this bug can be identified so that it does...

Re: Historic Temperature 3.9.5 (build 3100)

I suspect it is a Fahrenheit only problem.

Re: Historic Temperature 3.9.5 (build 3100)

I was not an early adopter. I just late last night downloaded build 3100 (many hours after the previous post) and my historic charts temperature is not displaying. Same thing on two separate locations that upgraded from build 3098. Yes I can say I have the same problem and charthistoric.js looks to...

Re: Pro-Signal PSG04173

The solution is to get the Ecowitt GW1000, but you need to ensure that the frequency matches your new station. It is available in 433, 868, and 915 MHz.
If your station is 868 MHz you can also order the Froggit DP1500 as it is the same thing as a GW1000 with 868 MHz.

prodata wrote: Fri 15 Jan 2021 2:32 pm It's a bit of an unhelpful semantic debate IMHO as to whether WLL is a data logger or not - it is in some respects but maybe not in others. But it doesn't really matter as long as one is clear about its features and capabilities.
Agreed!

And that was a very nice write up.

Thank you.

Re: Cumulus MX Software Upgrade Available Check Feature

Build 3099 was already out when we last discussed the upgrade notification issue. Therefore I would not expect the notification to work upon the release of 3100. I believe 3100 is the first build to get the upgrade notification fixes. Therefore we won't know if the fixes just put into 3100 solves th...

Re: Help with choosing a new weather station for 2021

The WeatherLink Live API documentation is public. It has no means for an application to get archive data: https://weatherlink.github.io/weatherlink-live-local-api/ But Weatherlink.com does provide this historical archive data to any willing application. But this requires a paid subscription for this...

Known Issues Log

Is there a place to read about known issues as they are discovered? This would be helpful in deciding if to upgrade to an new version if any of the known issues affects you particular install or not. We all use Cumulus MX in different ways, different operating systems, different hardware, different ...

Re: Help with choosing a new weather station for 2021

Okay that is an important distinction. I still don't see how that does not qualify the WLL as a logger. It may not be a logger to other applications but it is a logger to WL.com. Today anyone can efficiently run a Raspberry Pi and configure a reasonable battery backup solution so that you can manage...

Re: Help with choosing a new weather station for 2021

We are talking about the Davis WLL and not Fine Offset. You are misinformed about the WLL. The WLL does not need to say connected to the Internet. It does have logging capabilities. I recommend reading this great writeup on the Davis WLL and its capabilities: https://www.weatherstations.co.uk/weathe...

Re: Help with choosing a new weather station for 2021

Am I correct in saying Weatherlink live is the datalogger? Subscription plan required for data history on Weatherlink.com. Just so that there is no misunderstanding; the Weatherlink Live physically is not actually a datalogger How exactly is it not a datalogger? ... but a receiver and all data is u...

Re: Help with choosing a new weather station for 2021

Yes WeatherLink Live is the data logger. It receives the RF signal from the sensors, stores data to then upload it to Weatherlink.com. Then from Weatherlink.com you can send the data to WU and CWOP. The WeatherLink Live will also provide live data on the local network (Ethernet or WiFi) to any other...

Re: Help with choosing a new weather station for 2021

For a sailing club I would recommend the Davis Vantage Pro 2, no console, and a WeatherLink Live. You can then continue to use your Cumulus MX system. But if that is too much over budget then consider a Fine Offset clone with GW1000. I don't know where you are located as that will determine which is...

Excellent. Thank you!

I like HansR's colors as yellow and orange are colors that you would normally attribute to the sun.
