Alarms in Dashboard (localhost:8998) - nothing showing when Davis console lost contact with remote sensors
Should the alarms at the bottom of the Dashboard page of the localhost:8998 site be working? I'm running a slightly older version Cumulus MX 3.6.10 b3086. Should alarms be working for that - highest/lowest temp etc, Data stopped, Sensor contact? I'm not sure I've ever seen anything on the Alarms pan...

Re: Changing Vantage Pro2 data logging interval (on logger, not in Cumulus)
Hi, Resetting the logger interval clears the logger, so unfortunately no archive data from before the resetting for either Weatherlink or Cumulus. I had to hand-craft the log file, duplicating the xx:00 entry to xx:10 and xx:20, and likewise for the xx:30 -> xx:40 and xx:50, which gives a "sta...

Re: Changing Vantage Pro2 data logging interval (on logger, not in Cumulus)
Currently you cannot use Cumulus to change the logger interval. So you will have to use WL, or a terminal emulator to send the SETPER command yourself. Ah, OK. I wasn't sure whether you'd included it as an enhancement at some stage - very subtle hint ;-) I managed to move the console from my Pi to ...

Changing Vantage Pro2 data logging interval (on logger, not in Cumulus)
It used to be that the only way to change the data logger interval for a Davis Vantage Vue or Pro2 from the default 30 mins to 10 mins was to run Weatherlink. Is that still the case, or is there a way to do it from Cumulus now? For some reason, Cumulus stopped on my Pi yesterday and when I restarted...

Re: Davis Vantage Pro2 with wireless wind sensors
I have this setup, and the merging of the data between wind and ISS is performed in the console. So CumulusMX doesn't even know that I have separate sender units for wind and temp/humidity/rainfall - it just connects to the VP2 and polls for the data. Freddie, as a matter of interest what have you ...

Re: Davis Vantage Pro2 with wireless wind sensors
Freddie, that answers the question perfectly. It's the assurance that I was looking for. I'll go ahead and order it. As a matter of interest, do you know what variety of pole diameters can be used for attaching the anemometer? One conveniently high, securely-attached pole is the one for my TV aerial...

Davis Vantage Pro2 with wireless wind sensors
Does anyone have any experience of a Davis Vantage Pro2 with wireless wind sensors? I'm thinking of replacing my aging (and failing) Vantage Vue with a Vantage Pro2. The location for the rain/temp sensors will be a long way from the wind sensors (speed, direction), and both will be a long way from c...

Recommendations for weather station (I have Davis Vantage Vue at present)
I'm looking for people's recommendations for a weather station with separate wind and rain/temperature/humidity sensors, at an affordable price. I currently have a Davis Vantage Vue weather station which is now suffering (again!) from the dreaded "stuck humidity sensor" fault. I had it rep...

Davis Vantage Vue - abnormally low (stuck) external humidity readings
For the past few days my Vantage Vue has been reporting abnormally low humidity readings - for a lot of the day and night it's stuck on 1% and then (usually around noon) it gets up to 40-80% for a while before gradaully falling back to 1%: http://goosebears.co.uk/weather/trends.htm. Until then, read...

Re: Web templates: Displaying timezone offset from UTC/GMT (eg "GMT+0100")
The format string should be "zzz" not "0zzz" shouldn't it? Yes, <#time format="zzz"> works. Thanks for that! Looks like an error in the Wiki list of keywords https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Webtags Also I've spotted a couple of trivial formatting errors in the wiki, relating...

Web templates: Displaying timezone offset from UTC/GMT (eg "GMT+0100")
I know that <#timeUTC> will display time in UTC/GMT, as opposed to local time, but is there a way of displaying the offset (eg "GMT+0100" or "+0100") between local time and UTC, so as to say "all times on this site are GMT+0100" or something like that? I found a format ...

Re: IncludeMoonImage and MoonImageEnabled get reset to 0
I had edited Cumulus.ini with CumulusMX stopped. It was the act of restarting it which set the values back to zero. I'd looked for the menu items in the admin interface, and hadn't found them - I was looking on Station Settings rather thna Internet Settings. With Cumulus running, having made the cha...

IncludeMoonImage and MoonImageEnabled get reset to 0
I've just updated to v3.6.8 (3084), having been on 3.4.4 for ages, and I notice that Cumulus now has the ability to generate a moon image based on the phase of the moon. Up to now I'd used 29 different images of the moon "borrowed" from somewhere on the web, and I selected the correct one ...

Re: CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi - viewing the port 8998 site using Firefox makes Cumulus process use 200% (!) CPU
Cumulus doesn't create any cookies afaik. The cookie here was huge and about encryption "stuff" nothing to do with Cumulus. Did the author have another device on that IP address previously? No. As far as I am aware, the only thing that's ever been on that IP address is the Pi (the router ...
