Re: v2.1.0 install
Unfortunately, this time, I have to agree with Paul... I have spent almost an hour trying to find out what was wrong and I have simply given up. I understand that my 'gauges.js' script has been modified (customised), but still... I have even tried using the 'original' scripts/templates from w...

Re: ajax-dashboard.php gone odd!
Now, in the ajax-dashboard.php, I've managed to make every data field the same width so it looks nice. :D On the contrary, the dashbord portion of the page is now too wide for the rest of the frame (as seen in the included screenshot)... There were very good reasons why some of tables and co...

Re: Future data formats
I have been reading some interesting articles about organizations moving away from Oracle's MySQL to Monty Program's MariaDB , such as, for example, Wikipedia - there are also 'rumors' that Fedora Linux and OpenSUSE might also consider switching from MySQL to MariaDB. I was going to try and install ...

Re: virtual vp cumulus and weatherlink
...the network that i want to join uses WL to upload data and they want all to have same appearance What exactly is needed from the WeatherLink software ... certainly not its graphic images ... more likely the weather data in a specific format... If the requirement is for a specific file containing...

Re: virtual vp cumulus and weatherlink
I do not think there is an easy way to do this. Remember, when the 'freeze' happens, VirtualVP stops making the data (from the console) available to the programs (weather software) connected to it - thus, you would have to restart all weather software after restarting VirtualVP... You could always t...

Re: weird rain!
How and where is your 'Davis Vantage Vue' installed - is it mounted on a wall (or something solid) or is it mounted on a pole (metal or plastic)?tomcatuk wrote:...any idea as to what could be causing this?

Re: problem with version 2.0.3
...I must make a note about Cumulus not handling UTF-8 encoded template pages very well. Mark, how about including an additional template (not unlike the 'gauges-ssT.htm' template) that would contain the basic minimum HTML code so that the template could be used as a model for operators not using t...

Re: Difference in rainfall on console vs. Cumulus via Envoy
When at the set rain calibration number on you station option, it complained that the station detected was a vantage pro instead of a vantage vue. (Probably the Envoy identifies itself as a Vantage Pro) Obviously, someone did not read the documentation supplied with the ' Vantage Pro2 Weather Envoy...

Re: VP2 Console/Transmitter resyncs increasing
...I will change the battery in the spring. It is the original after all so has lasted nearly 4 years. Ray, as incredible as it might sounds (reads), it was just a couple of weeks when I got a message on my console that the battery voltage was getting low ... more than six (indeed '6') years after ...

Re: SteelSeries Gauges for Virtual Weather Station
It has been a very long time since I run and used the Virtual Weather Station software... Just had a quick look at my VWS user's manual and, starting at page 70, there is a complete list of HTML tags which can be used to insert weather station data text into a web page - I would think some of those ...

Re: VP2 Console/Transmitter resyncs increasing
Ray, the purpose of my question was to 'investigate' if the Super Capacitor ('Supercap') might be deteriorating - as you might be aware, the 'Supercap' is what supplies the power to the ISS - the 'Supercap' is recharged during the day by the solar panel - but at night, the 'Supercap' is the only pow...

Re: anemo and wind direction stopped when snow started 17 Ja
Of course in these days of automated stations none of the pupils have to go out in all weathers to measure the rainfall. That might dampen their enthusiasm! Well, this 'modern generation' of students certainly do not have to go outside to see if it is raining or to take the rain measurements ... wh...

Re: VP2 Console/Transmitter resyncs increasing
Ray, just another question - do the resyncs happen during the day or during the night - what I mean, are the resyncs happening more frequently during the night, for example?

Re: anemo and wind direction stopped when snow started 17 Ja
Nice to see schools taking an active interest in the weather. Your school may be nurturing the next Michael Fish! Ray, have a look at this canadian product: School-Based Weather Station Network and their About page - discover that the school-based weather network has been in operation for some year...
