Re: CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi - viewing the port 8998 site using Firefox makes Cumulus process use 200% (!) CPU
It looks like it is sending a massive amount of cookie data with the request. Could you try clearing your cookies for the CMX "site"? Many thanks. It needed the cookies clearing. Normal service has been resumed! I thought I'd cleared the cookies, but when I checked the options for "C...

Re: CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi - viewing the port 8998 site using Firefox makes Cumulus process use 200% (!) CPU
I tried FF with add-ons disabled, and it made no difference, either to the displayh of the page or the sudden increase in CPU consumed by the CumulusMX.exe process on the Pi. The LAN traces are puzzling. FF V74 on the desktop PC that has the fault sends an HTTP GET request for "/", which s...

Re: CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi - viewing the port 8998 site using Firefox makes Cumulus process use 200% (!) CPU
Raspbian and Mono are kept up to date as part of the sudo apt update sudo apt full-upgrade that I do every few weeks. It was only laziness that prevented me updating Cumulus, because of the need to make sure that an update doesn't undo any customisations that I've made to web templates etc. But it n...

CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi - viewing the port 8998 site using Firefox makes Cumulus process use 200% (!) CPU
I've got a Raspberry Pi 3B+ which has been running CumulusMX v3.0.0 (3050) for a year or so. I've been able to access the control site on port 8998 without any problems - until today. It seems that an automatic upgrade of Firefox (to V74) on my Windows 7 PC, which I use to view the Pi's status, has ...

Lack of accuracy of weather station and Cumulus forecasts
I appreciate that weather stations and Cumulus use fairly low-tech algorithms to work out a weather forecast, but has anyone ever had a forecast that bears any resemblence to the current or near-future weather? I've set the lat/long/altitude to my location. The wind, rainfall, temperature, pressure ...

Re: CumulusMX is omitting some 10-minute readings at random in the Jun19log.txt file
It would appear that upgrading to V3.0.0 B3050 has cured the problem. It's been soak-testing (not a comment on the amount of rain the country has had recently!) for about 48 hours, and: a) I've not seen any missed 10-minute-interval entries in Jun19log.txt since then b) I've always been able to conn...

Re: CumulusMX is omitting some 10-minute readings at random in the Jun19log.txt file
Thanks for the suggestion to upgrade to the latest version, V3.0.0 B3050. I hadn't noticed that there had been a few newer versions. I've upgraded now, but it's only been running a couple of hours. It may be a day or so until I see a rash of missing values. I'll report back either way - either "...

Re: CumulusMX is omitting some 10-minute readings at random in the Jun19log.txt file
Here's the MXdiag.zip file. There was an instance at 16:20 on 7 Jun 2019, in the latest log file. Interestingly, there is no error message as such, just an absence of the normal "Writing log entry for 07/06/2019 16:30:52" / "Written log entry for 07/06/2019 16:30:52" lines every ...

CumulusMX is omitting some 10-minute readings at random in the Jun19log.txt file
Since we moved house and I cleared the contents of the CumulusMX/data folder (stop Cum, delete folder contents, restart) to begin a new set of readings, I've noticed that some readings are missing at random from the Jun19log.txt file. I log to the file at 10 minute intervals (this is also the interv...

Clear existing weather data to start again at new location
I've had CumulusMX working fine on my Raspberry Pi. I've now moved house to a new location. What's the best way to clear all the existing weather data (including record high/low values) to start again? Is it as simple as stopping Cumulus, emptying (or deleting) the .ini files in ~/CumulusMX/data, an...

Re: Customising which lines are displayed on graphs for Cumulus MX - now solved
Here are a couple more tweaks which I've made which people might like to take advantage of: 1) The x-axis lists the time of day for the graphs. It typically shows labels such as "19 Oct, 04:00, 08:00, ..., 20:00, 20 Oct" - all in the same size and colour of text. I've modified it so the da...

Re: Customising which lines are displayed on graphs for Cumulus MX - now solved
Ideally I'd have liked to fill the area with a paler shade of the same hue (green) but I've not found a way of modifying colours yet. EXAMPLE: http://jsfiddle.net/gh/get/library/pure/highcharts/highcharts/tree/master/samples/highcharts/plotoptions/series-color-area/ SYNTAX: https://api.highcharts.c...

Re: Customising which lines are displayed on graphs for Cumulus MX
I went hunting in the code, and I've found how to alter the default state of the lines on (for example) the temperature graph. Fortunately it's in a .js file; my worry was that it was in a file that had been compiled and was therefore inaccessible without industrial-strength reverse-engineering :-) ...

Re: Customising which lines are displayed on graphs for Cumulus MX
Cancel my previous post! It does work, but there seems to be a delay of several minutes between restarting Cumulus after changing a value and the graph changing its scale. It's not due to the trends.htm page not updating or the browser caching an old page, because I can see that the timestamp at the...

Re: Customising which lines are displayed on graphs for Cumulus MX
The Graph Hours setting doesn't work for me. http://www.martinunderwood.f9.co.uk/Weather/trends.htm shows 24 hours, even though I've increased the value to 48 or even 51 and then restarted CumulusMX. Likewise Graph Days is staying at 31 - even though I've modified it to 60 or 20, the earliest date i...
