Re: Outside Relative Humidity on WH1080

Hi Terry, I did check the digital RH meter against a whirling hygrometer and it's fairy accurate. The sensor in the remote system seemed to be miles out, reading about 10% low. Fine Offset website shows "Humidity range: 10% to 99% (1% resolution)", but in my experience, I find that very ha...

Re: Outside Relative Humidity on WH1080

As a new member to the forum I have just been reading this thread and noticed that the %RH on my WH1080 was also reading very low. Checking against another digital RH meter I have I found that the WH1080 was reading 71% when the other more reliable one was reading 85%. As I only took delivery of the...

Re: WH1080 Station Settings

LOL Terry, when I looked at the map published by the council on flooding, the worse case scenario showed it as ending at around 100 yards from my house. ;)
Do you have a radio control time signal down there Terry or do you have to set it manually?
Mike.

Re: WH1080 Station Settings

Hi Steve, I thought they may have been the case. By the way I wonder if it would be possible to include a wind direction graph option in Cumulus2; no software seems to include it? Also can anyone who uses a WH1080 tell me why the screen (in radio controlled time mode) shows exactly one minute ahead ...

Re: WH1080 Station Settings

One thing I noticed on the settings page was the option of hPa and mb for the barometer settings.
I always assumed that these were the same; is this correct?

Re: WH1080 Station Settings

Many thanks for all your replies; I will turn Data logger on. Yes 5ft is about right according to the high resolution Ordnance Survey maps; surprised me too. The actual sensor units are around 30ft up and I have to allow 1mB difference between the readings 'Absolute' and 'relative'. I have an old Al...

Re: W8681 type batteries

Hi, as a retired radio and electronics engineer I can tell you that the apparent failure of good batteries in any unit is nearly always down to poor battery contacts. If you are using remote D cells instead of the standard AA cells the best thing would be to hard wire them in by soldering wires to t...

WH1080 Station Settings

Hi, I'm new to the forum; I've been collecting data manually (and with a thermo-hydrograph) for over 20 years but have just changed over to a digital WX station (EasyWeather WH1080). I found your site and installed Cumulus 1.8.7 and appear to have it working. I have attached a screen shot of the Sta...
