Re: Remote control of your Cumulus PC
I use in all my Windows desktops no-ip.com access and MSWindows Remote Desktop or thighVNC with no compliments to report. :) In the course of my business, I've used them all. PCanywhere (worked well over modems in the the 90's :) ), VNC, RDP, Teamviewer and Logmein. I reckon Teamviewer is the best ...

Re: Please donate.
Hello from an ex Napier dweller
I coughed up $25AUD which IIRC converted to around 15 pounds :s Anymore and my Missues would've had a heart attack lol. Anyhow, I'll be trying to leave another small deposit in the future.
Great weather site you have there btw, very well done.

Re: mac.lion
I would just get hold of an old windows box, they a dime a dozen (or free even). Once it's all set up you can hide it somewhere and just use remote desktop to "remote" into it.REDMOLLY wrote: any help out there before I return it ?

This. Totally free and offers pretty good protection. IMHO and from my day job experience anything else is a waste of money and resources.geoffp wrote: Microsoft Firewall built into Windows and Microsoft Security Essentials

It's just that I'm lazy and normally don't know what day of the week it isdaj wrote:Give that you have to type the message anyway, I'm sure you could type the timestamp!

User entered Curent condions timestamp?
Is it possible to get Cumulus to automatically add a timestamp to the user entered conditions field?
Thanks Bob of Canberra.

Re: Wamp on Windows XP or Vista
I recommend removing all third party antivirus and firewall programs and just use Microsoft Security Essentials and the built in Windows firewall. And try not to run any services that aren't required.

Re: Do you read a software agreement?
I never do. But I was curious about Cumulus LA, so I tracked it down (it's in the Help file BTW) and read it. Should I now go back and change my vote?

La Crosse and Fine Offset. From the same factory?
They look very similar. Anyone know for sure?
Cheers UB
(wasn't sure if I should've put this post in the La Crosse or Fine Offset sub forum so I stuck it here, please move if incorrect)

Re: Clueless!
That sounds more than reasonable (a steal even). The beauty of going down this path is you can change ISP's till the cows come home and your website is safe.daj wrote: Therefore overall your costs for two years would be around £20.

Here's the before trend graph...
And here's the after..
I think the results are pretty good, with a lot tighter grouping and a lot less "scatters".
