Re: Realtime gauges v1.0.0.3 available for download

M1DUL. How much would you be able to spend, monthly, for a reliable Web host/server - I have been using 1&1 for more than 5 years with very little down time and very few problems that were quickly resolved - and now 1&1 offers a beginner service at £1.99 ($3.99) per month... Indeed, you can ...

Re: Sidebar Gadget for Windows Vista/7

dane. How often is the XML file update - I check your 'cumulus.xml' and every second refresh of my browser (Firefox) the XML file gives me an error. I had to modified my Cumulus to change the real time upload from 5 to 10 seconds and that seems (12 hours later) to have solved the gadget weather info...

Re: page index cumulus

nanard57.

Re: Sidebar Gadget for Windows Vista/7

Daniel. Thank you for the gadget ... I am new to Windows 7 (was installed about a week ago). The Cumulus gadget installed properly, but, at first, I had problems getting it to read the XML file on my server. Cumulus is updating/uploading the XML file in real time (every 10 seconds). But the gadget d...

Re: Dicussion on websites in other languages

David, You are right, some JavaScript in the main JS controlling file plus a command wherever translation is needed plus an external file where the translation are kept... So, in my main language file for french, for example, I have a line such as: langlookup|September|septembre| Then, in the PHP fi...

Re: Cumulus website in other languages

Daj,

My main bilingual weather Web pages are using some PHP code (thanks to Ken True) to translate day and month names to other languages (on my site it is to french).

Re: Mulilingual Experiment

beteljuice... Me again... I forgot to ask you why you feel that having external language files (as used on my main weather Web pages - originally designed by Ken True) would be too difficult, even for 'innocent/illiterate coders', to comprehend... :? After all, there are a number of us that c...

Re: Mulilingual Experiment

beteljuice For the french template you could/should replace the 'conditions meteorologiques' simply with 'météo' although the better way to display in french would be to have the have the word 'météo' before the name of the station: - way too long: 'Beteljuice conditions meteorologiques' - not verly...

Re: page index cumulus

Hello & Salut... To "beteljuice" first... I checked if any of the 'normally-uploaded' Cumulus files were there and the only one I found was 'index.htm' and, even that one was outdated... Maintenant à "nanard57"... Mon site est entièrement en PHP ... même les fichiers de Cumul...

Re: <#update>?

Or...

If PHP is available on your Web server, you could use a PHP function that would convert a time format into a pre-selected time format...

Such as converting from '4:30 pm' to '16:30'

Re: "Average temp" ??

Hello. It is my understanding that the average temperature of the day would be calculated from the lowest temperature of the day (that usually happens in the early hours of the morning) and the highest temperature of the day (that usually happens between noon and mid-afternoon). The average temperat...
