Re: CustomLogs as module
OK. I'll make a description of how to continue with cumulusutils.js which would make it possible for you to use the CUtils website infrastructure (not compulsory) of loading reports/charts from menu choices. I made the first step in documenting how to handle the module/URL query parameter issue.

Re: Installing CMX v4
You will find the logfiles in the directory MXdiags under the CumulusMX directory. The filenames have the format <year><month><day>-<hhmmss>.txt e.g. 20240415-090654.txt. Select the most recent logfile and post it here. I don't know which version you try to run by assuming it is the last release v4 ...

Re: Installing CMX v4
When using CMX4 with dotnet why do you need to start with sudo dotnet CumulusMX.dll rather than sudo mono CumulusMX.exe ? Because dotnet is a totally different environment than mono . They are not interchangeable. I have got CumulusMX running using as a service using systemctl enable ...

Re: Problem with the records menu
@hansr true - which implies the inifiles don't contain the data specifying the older records. Hence my comment about copying all the data files from the old location. I seriously don't get your point. My own logfile says the same: 2024-04-13 09:07:02.385 ReadTodayFile: Last update time from today.i...

Re: Problem with the records menu
Looks like there is some configuration missing. Have you copied across the entire contents of the data folder from your old installation? This should include all the .ini files, as well as the monthly logs and dayfile. From what do you draw that conclusion @freddie? It simply reads the inifiles wit...

Re: Problem with the records menu
Those are the log options, Yes.
You may switch off data logging.
You will find your logfile in the MXdiags directory, nothing to do with debug.log in the executable directory.

Re: Problem with the records menu
You did not turn debug on as I asked and this is a rotated logfile which means I cannot see how CMX started. So again: pleas switch debug on, restart CMX and show the records page in the interface. And do it in that order. The purpose of these actions, in case you m ay wonder, is to get information ...

Re: Problem with the records menu
Mmm... time to post the logfile.
Please set debug logging on, restart CMX and then ask the all time records page in the interface (I am not sure that is needed to get info in the logfile but it does not hurt )

Re: Problem with the records menu
monthlyalltimelog.txt No this is not the file, it is monthlyalltime.ini and further all inifiles in the contain record data (e.g. year.ini, yesterday.ini etc...). Not advised to edit the files directly, use the editor in CMX. The Records Began Date as advised by Paul has a good chance of being the ...

Re: Important - Highcharts Licensing
@Broadstairs: I understand all angles in any security issue and everybody must do what he/she thinks best. But don't come with 40 years of experience: it's the same for me with a somewhat lighter view of things. My bad I guess. Years ago when installing a central heating system in my house, I asked ...
