Re: Might be switching to a Vue
Well, is the mast held up properly so it doesn't shake? It's sturdy, but my post was regarding the wind blowing the rain so the Vue doesn't catch it properly. The higher the Vue goes, you're more likely to get poor rain recordings. This happens a lot if there is hefty showers with gusty winds, quit...

Re: Might be switching to a Vue
I have my Vantage Vue on top of a four storey building and the console in our office which is of concrete construction and i have no problem whatsoever on loss of signal. Regards Brian How do you get on about temperature and rainfall readings with it being that high? Mine is around 4.5 metres, and ...

Re: SteelSeries Radar Plot
Working - but ... Here is the Radar code integrated with other SS gauges. Unfortunately it is running on static data as my station is completely down. I am unable to test the JSON code for the same reason. In CheckRtResp() I have changed the following code to accomodate the static data: if (now-g_s...

Re: Twitter STOP updating
It did work once, and then twitter.txt got deleted. :?: There seem to be problems at Twitter at the moment; I'm getting error responses and some of my updates aren't getting through. But there is no code anywhere in Cumulus to delete the twitter.txt file. Seems to have sorted itself out now. But si...

Re: Twitter STOP updating
Just wondered if it was possible to add the Cumulus zambretti or Davis forecast when Cumulus tweets? Or an 'enable/disable' option for it. You can create any Twitter message you want, within the limits of Twitter and the available web tags: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Twitter Ah thank you! I have ...

Re: Drought declared in SE England - how much rain have you
Finally .. had some very wet weather here this morning.
Going by the last outputs from the GFS, PVA was very strong across Dorset/Hants/Wilts, so i'm not surprised there was some decent totals.
28mm here.

I've not known it this dry here for quite a few years. Usually i don't need to top my pond up in Autumn/Winter, but i have had to this time around.

Re: Drought declared in SE England - how much rain have you
From the readings submitted so far looks as if my neck of the woods is quite dry. My total for the period is 87.7mm/3.45" regards Mike Dorset I thought it was exceptionally dry here, but that is bone dry compared to me. Are you sure that's from Novemeber 1st 2011? :o Wareham, Dorset November 1...

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Had a quick gander, but it didn't really tell me what i already knew. Thanks though. I have also noticed with the latest steel gauges, is that when it updates, the cpu useage for that page goes up to around 26% for two seconds before dropping back down. That seems a lot to me, i don't remember it be...

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
I've been checking my HTTP traffic over the last two weeks, and it seems to have increased dramatically, perhaps since i upgraded to 1.5.1 I normally get around 20 hits a day average, and that has gone to around 30 or 40 hits in the last week. But the bandwidth doesn't seem to match, and i'm wonderi...

Re: The Russians are invading
All rain here, but i didn't expect anything less. I was quite pleased with the outcome of this event as i explained in previous posts. That cold air still hangs on in some Southern parts, so more below freezing temps to come this week.

Re: New Record? Post here.
-8.9°C here, that's the lowest i've ever recorded. Not bad considering i live in between two rivers, and Poole harbour is only a few miles to my East.
