Re: Wind Speed Abnormality

Thanks Alan, Its a Fine Offset so the wind vane plugs into the anemometer then a cable from there to the transmitter. Those slightly elevated lines on 15th 16th seem to be genuine as you can see below it records a direction at that point, so Cumulus must register it as a speed reading. Normally thou...

Re: Wind Speed Abnormality

Thanks Steve,
Sort of coming to that conclusion as well, as much as I dont want it to be as it means clambering up the ladders and taking everything down. Hopefully the weather will stay nice and I can get up there at the weekend.

Wind Speed Abnormality

Hi All, Not sure if this is the right section to post in but didnt seem anywhere else to put it. My station / MX only seems to report wind speed at certain times of the day and I am confused as to why. Please see the attached MX graph. I recently had to change the wind vane and whilst I had everythi...

Re: Weather Station Recommendations

Thanks for the comments. Have come much to the same conclusions myself.

I just fancied adding UV and Solar to my readings but doesn't look like its possible unless I "up the budget".

May for the time being stick with what I have.

Thanks again.

Weather Station Recommendations

Hi All, For a few years I have been running a Maplin N96GY (Fine Offset) station and its done the basic job. I fancy treating myself to a new weather station, hopefully one that's solar powered and can also measure Solar / UV. I haven't got millions to spend. probably around £200 - £250 but am looki...

Re: Webcams and Timelapse

Hi, I actually don’t stream them and don’t have the bandwidth in my location to do so. I am very remote so am on the limits of any reasonable broadband. Pleased you like the webcams and video. Will start with the easy one, the webcams. My webcams are connected to my local network and I run Cumulus o...

Re: Monthly Records show mixed months

Thanks Mark,

Cumulus does start automatically so I will look at delaying it and also look a RTC. I think it was very unfortunate that it happened at monthly change over day but I guess this could happen anytime.

Once again, Many thanks to yourself and Steve for continued great support.

Re: Monthly Records show mixed months

Steve / Mark, Thanks for you analysis. I am assuming it was coincidental / bad luck that something happened to the clock during this time and that it should correct itself on the next monthly changeover in a few days time. I dont know if there was a power issue or something during this time, unfortu...

Re: Monthly Records show mixed months

Hi Steve, Thanks for taking a look. I have attached the MXDiag folder. I did take a quick look through and there are a lot of lost outdoor sensor contacts (I will try and sort that at the weekend) and some times when files couldnt be uploaded to my website but I wouldnt have thought that would cause...

Monthly Records show mixed months

Hi, Looking for a bit of help here. I noticed that when I look at the current months records it is showing records from November and October. I thought at first this was something I had done on my website but it also occurs when I log onto MX locally on my Pi. I hadn't noticed it before, it may have...

Re: MX Graphs start from scratch when Pi rebooted

Thanks Steve. It pointed to an error in the Sept16 log file while on further inspection had a string of "NULL's" at the beginning. Once removed and reloaded it has sorted itself. Thing to note for me. In future check the FAQ as well as the forum for answers and also look at the MX Diags. H...

MX Graphs start from scratch when Pi rebooted

Hi all, Have been running MX really well for some time now with no problem but I noticed when I needed to move my PI that when I switched it back on the MX graphs started again from the switch on time. I did a reboot of the PI and the same happened. I am on the latest 3041 build and don't know if th...

Re: Using with CumulusMX

There as some changes in the way "This Month, This Year, Monthly Records and All Time Records" are dispalyed which is due to the new .NET formatting of dates and times. I updated the wt_data_inc, wt_data_intl, wt_month_inc and wt_month_intl files on the Weather By You site ( see http://wea...

Re: Website Blank

Hi Steve,
Many thanks.

Have changed the double quotes for singles.

Andy

Edit: Seems to be running ok now, no further instances (even when I change the interval to 10 minutes ;) )
