Re: Airshow planes caught on weathercam
Hi Richard,,
Thanks for the pic's of your personal air show, you could pass them off as UFO's. Its looks like you are having great weather, I seen on the TV this morning that it was raining in London for the Queens Jubilee pagenat on the Thames.

Re: ISS not transmitting
Brain Thanks for the reply - pleased you managed to sort out the battery issues. Not sure what happened to the ISS. The dealer recommended what you suggested, take the battery out and leave the ISS for a few hours. This seemed to have sorted the problem for the time being. I did not use a new batte...

Re: Uk based davis anemometer repair service
The problems I had with my Vantage Vue started from the beginning when I purchased it through Scientific Sales in New Jersy, un be knowing to me that I should have bought one in Australia as the US model is illegal in Australia. I then had it converted at great expense to me. I made a complaint to D...

Re: Uk based davis anemometer repair service
Well I am happy to report all is ok, the battery has been changed and readings are being received at the console, I was not aware that the battery was not being recharged by the solar panel, then again if there is no battery what does the solar panel do, when there is ample sunlight, surely it must ...

Re: ISS not transmitting
My battery is still perfectly good after 2 1/2 years, perhaps the solar cell keeps it more fully charged here. Gordon, a little clarification/correction: The battery inside either the Vantage Pro2 or the Vantage Vue ISS is not rechargeable - it is a 3-volt Lithium battery (as stated in the installa...

Re: Uk based davis anemometer repair service
Its a pity you are not based in Queensland Australia as you would have my vantage Vue to be repaired, or rather get up on our roof and change the battery, but I guess I am going to have to get up there myself and stop being a girls blouse, anyhow you idea is very worthy I hope you get some business ...

Re: WH3081 Solar power not working - batteries going flat?
Hi all, I've got a WH3081 weather station that has a solar panel and rechargeable alkaline batteries, and was working fine since Jan 2012. Last week I lost getting data from the outdoor unit and the display showed "TX Low Battery". So off I went and pulled the unit down, all the connectio...

Re: Might be switching to a Vue
Hi. So my Fine Offset has been making me pulling my hair since the first 2 months I had it with successive signal losses, bugs, inaccuracies, etc. I wanted to sell it for more money for the Davis but this seems to be impeding me.. Hmm. But that's not the issue, so I live in a 5 floor (roof) buildin...
