Thanks for the reply Steve, I have Google d the specs and they tell me that in "storage" 160 GB on the hard drive and in memory there is 1 GB.
does these figures make any sense and will there be enough to run Cumulus.

Samsung NP145
I have a Samsung NP145 notebook I was wondering if this small computer would be OK to run Cumulus program with a Vantage Vue with a Davis Data logger. Not being very computer savvy, I thought I would put it to the experts in the world of weather???

Re: Responsive Web Design - Desktop or Mobile Site -
Ive just gotten my head around a very neat Responsive styled webpage template and would like to share it to this community. (yes, my head hurts) The template name is Eve and can be found here : http://sg-layout.com/blog/response-eve-html-template/ My next venture is to 'try' and get the Steel gauge...

Re: LOW BATTERY TRANSMITTER 1?
Hi there, I've just come home and found that my Davis Vantage Vue weather station is displaying the message 'LOW BATTERY TRANSMITTER 1'. It's been very warm and sunny today, so I'm surprised that this message has come up. This message has come up before but I can't remember how long it takes for th...

Wind Speed Indicator
Over the last week the Gold-coast has had a severe weather depression that brought gallons of rain and wind. During this period my Vantage Vue console was showing wind speed 0, even thought it was blowing a gale outside. I checked through the manual and followed the diagnostics, all without success....

Re: Davis Vantage Vue Mounting Option Comments
I am looking to relocate my Davis Vantage Vue. I was thinking of purchasing one of these and wondering if anyone out there is using this mast for their weather station. I am looking to mount it to one side of the chimney such that the top is about 3-4 feet higher than the top of the chimney. http:/...

Re: Weather Station Sensors
This photo is out of date but gives the general idea. http://ginad.org.uk/weathergd/images/Outdoor_Sensors_med.jpg This photo shows the wind sensors at the top of a 20ft mast with the temperature/humidity sensor and transmitter unit on a shorter post about 5ft high with my own Stevenson screen. The...

Weather Station Sensors
I was wondering if anyone has photo's of their weather sensors setup, as I am interested in different views on how and where people locate them, as I am thinking of updating to a VP2.

Re: Vantage Vue more reliable than Ambient WS-1090?
Had an Ambient 1090 and used Cumulus. Set up on Weather underground. Seemed to work fine but tx from unit to console would lock up. Tried all sorts of fixes (battery changes etc.) nothing helped. Tech service claimed it was interference from the computer or the wireless net router. Moved to another...

Re: Pressure setting way too low
With pressures like that you are getting close to cyclone formation here in Australia, not nice when they do form, one good blow and you have lost the house.....

This shows how I used three tracks on the encoding disc to provide 4 data bits. http://ginad.org.uk/weathergd/images/00-vane-angles-optical-11-02-07-sml.png And this diagram shows the construction details of the anemometer (made from half ping pong balls and bottle tops) and the magnetically damped...
