Re: Moving Temp sensor

Well I am going to move the sensor today and I think that the easiest way is to keep the sensors connected and if there are any bad readings just edit or delete them. Hopefully this will improve my readings.

Re: Moving Temp sensor

The temp hum sensor connects to the receiving unit via wireless and the wind and rain to the temp and hum via cable. I am only moving the temp hum but disconnecting will stop all outdoor transmission. Is there any point in disconnecting for the trouble it will cause. Thanks Steve for your quick answ...

Moving Temp sensor

Hi My La Crosse 2306 temp hum sensor is located at the top of a north facing window which measures overnight temps well but very high daytime temps. I plan to move this sensor tomorrow morning to a west side patio with the back of a garage to the west. When I set up this station a few months ago I p...

Re: A warm and wet 2011 for my station - How was yours?

Here in Brisbane Australia, where I have manual records since April 2009 and manual rainfall for many years before that and Cumulus since this October we have got 1337.1mm this year with 123.8mm so far this month. We have had plenty of rain this year after the unfortunate floods in December 2010 int...

Re: Black box

That black box is new moon which you can't see it as it is in front of the sun in the orbit around earth.

Re: Difference in Wind speeds from Cumulus and Heavy Weather

Hi
The data in the history file only shows the data at the interval you set in the HeavyWeather software (ie only at set intervals) which does not mean they are not correct.

Re: Hello from Bristol

Hi, Welcome to the forum. I use a La Crosse 2306 and I find that they are good and they don't cost too much. I did risk it when using a usb converter with Cumulus but it did work, but all don't have that luck and so they use serial. I have owned a non pc La Crosse for almost two years and have not h...

Re: SOLAR LED LIGHTS TO POWER YOUR WEATHER STATION BATTERIES

Very well done, just use your brain, give some thought and almost anything is possible. You just need that idea and does not matter how simple it is, if it works it is well worth doing it. Great idea, at least it being put to good use, whilst solving a problem at the same time.

Re: Barometer calibration

Hi Its best to enter your height above sea level or your relative pressure value on your station which adjusts the absolute station level pressure to sea level, as sea level is standard on the weather charts and with other stations. All weather stations allow for your air pressure setting to be adju...

Re: 0.00 Lowest Pressure?

Hi

Is the information on the actual weather station working all the time, you might be losing connection because when I got my second La Crosse I often got a unusual -6 in the Temp overnight several times.
