Re: Experience after transplant to Raspberry Pi
Still waiting for them to get back to me. This is not a CMX problem as my Cumulus 1 station is having the same issue, and Filezilla won't connect

Re: Raspberry Pi external programs
Vibration, it is highly correlated with wind speed.

Re: Raspberry Pi external programs
Actually didn't need to, Raspbian Apache2 just works out of the box.
http://weather.baskervilleheights.uk is the Pi hosted website, I don't know how many connections it would support but for the moment it's running.

Raspberry Pi external programs
Are these working?
I'd really like to do "cp /home/pi/CMX/web/*.htm /var/www" and have Apache serve the pages
If that won't work can I invoke a script file?

Re: Experience after transplant to Raspberry Pi
I think this is a problem with my isp getting snotty when there are several ftp connections. It starts blocking them and the blocked connections take a while to timeout, so leading to a lockout.
I'll turn off uploads for a bit and then try again.

Experience after transplant to Raspberry Pi
CMX is running beautifully under Windows 7. I copied the directory over to the RPi and have had it running overnight. I notice the website upload is very erratic, only very few of the pages get uploaded, and when you go through them, you see that they have different times on them, several hours ago....

Re: Wind rose on the gauges page
Have been away from the forums for a bit Yes, I have 8 wind directions selected for my FO station, so that's the explanation. The rain issue is due to the mast the sensors is on being a rather flimsy B&Q cranked aluminium aerial mast and is rather affected by vibration, in high winds this trips ...

Wind rose on the gauges page
Is the wind rose 180 degrees out, or is wind rose defined as where it is blowing to? How far back does the aggregation go?

Case sensitivity in Cumulus.ini
Worked straight out of the box.
I'm running 3008 on Windows 7 before transferring to the Raspberry Pi.
Everything worked perfectly apart from the ftp settings which were were ignored until I changed the site section header to [FTP site]

Re: Lubricate anemometer?
My N96FY anemometer stopped after two months, not ice but a wind gust. I don't know if it snapped or bent something.
Maplin mail order will arrive by the weekend and I'll just replace it and then see if anything can be salvaged for spares.
