Re: CUTags.php not updating
Steve Thanks VERY much for the favor of a reply on the subject. It's amazing to me how easy it is for me to "see" something, but yet,- not see it. Your message caused me go go back to the original saratoga CUtags file. I had convinced myself it was CUtags.txt uploading to CUtags.php. Well ...

weather data not current?
I had been having problems with my SD cards lasting only 10 months or so, so I decided to get a larger 32Gb card and upgrade the software too. I have an RPi 2 that had been running my Vantage Pro2 via a Vantage Vue (USB) on Raspian "Wheezy" for well over a year very reliably. So I installe...

Re: CUTags.php not updating
I'm sorry for not replying to your suggestions sooner. I have been traveling and am only now back at the station. Yes I am able to go to the localhost or IPaddress:8998 and open up a web page, see the gauges and settings just fine. The problem seems to be that the file that is always being updated w...

CUTags.php not updating
I've had Saratoga templates working nicely on my website www.apcat.org for over a year. My SD card seems to be failing, (for the second time) and although I have an image backup, I thought I'd bypass NOOBs, and update to the latest version of OS for the RPi ("Jessie"), install the latest 3...

Re: Newbie Issue #2
Paul I have been reading the Wiki on the SteelSeries Gauges at the Cumulus site and there is quite detailed information there. Are there any "gotchas" to add these to a the Saratoga Templates? I had used the generic Saratoga page to construct my webcam page by embedding the html code and w...

Re: Newbie Issue #2
I do have the CUtags.txt in the /home/pi/CumulusMX/web/folder, what I don't have is CUtagsT.txt My problem has been a failure on my part to specify the destination path as public_html as I had assumed incorrectly that it would carryover from the CumulusMX Internet Setting entry. I should have known ...

Re: Newbie Issue #2
David
I spoke too soon! I do not have a CUtagsT.txt file in my CumulusMX/web or /webfiles folder. I have as I mentioned been uploading the tmp file and it seemed OK; at least the Status page indicated an OK condition. So am I just missing this file?

Re: Newbie Issue #2
Thank you David, I got it, and thanks to all of you for the FIRST-RATE help with setting up the site. The site is working fairly well, although I need to move the "red dot" on the radar display to be correct, and there are a few missing items. (any suggestions would be most welcome) If I s...

Re: Newbie Issue #2
Many thanks for the explanation. That confirms my assumption. So in the "Extra Webfiles" page I have CUtags.txttmp as the "local file" and CUtags.php as the "remote filename" with Process and FTP boxes checked. Problem is nothing is showing up in the public_html folder....

Re: Newbie Issue #2
I think I'm going to let my ignorance hang out here... Added the <meta code in top.php but still nada. It's pretty clear that CumulusMX is not updating CUtags.php on the web by looking at the site's Control Panel. Looking in the CumuluxMX/web/ folder however, CUtags.txttmp is being updated. In the &...

Newbie Issue #2
I got the time corrected so that it now jibes with MX. The Status Page (now with the correct time and date) however chronically shows "not current" in red for Cumulus FTP and Cumulus Weather Data. Cumulus Realtime is often current (but not always-asks for a page refresh) That said I do not...

Re: Newbie Problems I Suspect
I did not realize the substantial differences between MX & the older version. I imagine it is quite a substantial coding effort required to create the png files that MX is lacking. That's too bad. I just assumed they were equivalent. Many thanks for the excellent diagnosis for my other ills!

Newbie Problems I Suspect
I have CumulusMX & a webcam running on a Raspberry Pi collecting data from a Davis VP2 and Davis Weather Envoy. Images are FTP'd via a BASH script, and I'm attempting to get the Saratoga Templates configured correctly. Sofar a few items appear to be failing/missing and others seem to be working ...

Re: Webfiles Not Updating
Yes I restart the RPi and Cumulus after each change to make certain the .ini file is read. But I think I've solved the problem. I deleted the entries for the various webfile FTP settings and re-entered them elsewhere in the table. Now everthing works. I can only assume that I had some invisible char...
