Re: Mx Stopping
Bob: Recommend you read this page: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/astebner/2008/10/13/net-framework-setup-verification-tool-users-guide/ and download the .NET setup verification tool. Run it from an administrative command prompt using the command line: netfx_setupverifier.exe /q:a That command lin...

Re: Mx Stopping
OK, well if you have set live/real-time or whatever the Kaspersky equivalent is for real-time scanning exclusions you should be good to go on that front. If it goes down again check your Windows application event log and filter on critical, warnings, and errors and see if there is anything of intere...

Re: Mx Stopping
Regarding the port forwarding, which I don't believe has anything to do with the problem you are experiencing, it shouldn't be necessary since any connection that is initiated by the computer to say, Weather Underground, is going to be allowed by the Asus. The only common scenario that you would wan...

Re: Mx Stopping
I have that same wireless router.
OK, so your Asus router is the device that is facing the Internet? Like...computer-->Asus router-->Cable modem(??)-->Internet?
And your Davis is connecting to the CumulusMX via TCP/IP or via USB serial converter?

Bob:
Can you explain a little about how your network is set up? Not clear to me why you'd need port forwarding enabled.

Re: Website gauges not working
Steve, I understand that, and following Paul's advice it is now working. What misled me, and I'm not casting blame, was that Kurt had the forward slash as part of the path to where he uploads the files to. I followed his example which for me didn't work, and tried various manual methods to try and ...

Re: Website gauges not working
You're very welcome, and they are showing current now  You likely have done that already, but remove the processing and upload to /weather/realtimegaugesT.txt as shown in a past screen shot as well as that is incorrect and not needed. Enjoy, Paul Paul: I may have things fouled up, but if I un...

Re: Website gauges not working
Malcom: You need to configure the file settings like so: realtime.PNG Obviously the pathing will need to be changed to match your setup, but the check boxes and file names are correct. As of this writing your system is not processing the file, it is just uploading it unchanged: {"date":&qu...

api.usno.navy.mil down again
Looks like api.usno.navy.mil and http://www.usno.navy.mil are both down again. Makes for a very slow load of the home and wxastronomy.php pages. The DNS resolves OK--they're just down. Ken, would it be possible to add some kind of error checking to the scripts to alleviate this? Just wondering. Than...

Re: 915 MHz Repeater
Thanks again for all your help, guys. Sure wish one of you lived closer. :D Jim: You can do this! :) All you need is a low power soldering iron, a very small amount of electrical 60/40 solder, and an ohm meter--or a friend with those things. You can often get a multi-meter at Harbor Freight for not...
