Re: Tidal Information
I've considered putting them into Cumulus, but I haven't been able to find an algorithm. I don't think it's easy to do with any accuracy, and I think it would be too risky to include something like that without being confident of the output. There's WxTide32 . That can be run automatically with out...

Re: Rainfall rate or rainfall in last 15 minutes
FWIW, when looking at the WMR928 console I sometimes wonder "wouldn't it be nice to see a figure like minutes since last tip ". As WMR928 owners will know, its console shows the most recent non-zero rate for up to 2 hours, provided there have been at least 2 tips (since obvioulsy you can't...

Re: Data Logger Function
Meteohub can log from a WMR928NX, but at present Cumulus doesn't read from Meteohub.Villa Elsa wrote:Does anyone know if my Weather Station (WMR928NX) has this functionality?

And another is to use a Hall Effect sensor, as employed by the InSpeed e-Vane - which sooner or later (more likley later!) I hope to have hooked up to a 1-wire system...harrym1byt wrote:other 'no working parts' solution would be a gray (or is it grey?) scale encoder.

Re: Wind Vane Sticking ?
Unfortunatley now I have developed a problem with the wind speed instead, basically it just stops, going from a good 25knots then showing nothing. It stopped the other day just as the winds started to increase as the storm rolled in. Then a few hours later is started working all over again. But thi...

Re: Discussion related to Oregon Scientific weather stations...
Not sure what you mean by 'interpolated' - calculated from the other two? Yes, that's what I meant. I should have written 'derived' rather than 'interploated'. Well, yes, but I was looking for a quick fix for this version :). How many extra sensors can the 928 have - three? Yes, three. PS. You prob...

Re: Discussion related to Oregon Scientific weather stations...
but as I understand it, each extra sensor gives Temp/Humidity/Dewpoint? Isn't the Dewpoint just interpolated data? I don't think that either WD or WSWIN try to store dewpoint data for 'extra' sensors? So that's up to nine new items to find room for. Even without dewpoint it's potentially even more ...

Re: Discussion related to Oregon Scientific weather stations...
Sadly, only 'elite' software developers are allowed to have the WMR100 and 200 protocol from Oregon Scientific, others get ignored, it seems. But there is a bit of unofficial documentation available, so I may be able to do this eventually. If you implemented the Meteohub logging protocol Cumulus us...

Re: WH1080 - display unit <> weather station link
If you look at the installation page for the 1081 then it says to turn on the transmitter first before the desktop console. I would assume the Console then queries the transmitter and sets itself to that particular transmitter. Maybe I can put a spare transmitter in the fridge and see what I get fo...

Re: Correlation between wind readings and Recent Extremes.
a) the most recent gust at the moment of logging rather than b) the highest gust during the time since the last log record. It logs both. That's not quite accurate - it logs the most recent gust and the highest gust in the last 10 minutes, so how that actually works out depends on the logging inter...

Re: Correlation between wind readings and Recent Extremes.
5. High values will not necessarily appear in the Dec08log.txt file as they are snapshots of the current data at the interval you have chosen. Does that mean that the logged gust is: a) the most recent gust at the moment of logging rather than b) the highest gust during the time since the last log ...

Re: quicker update data
Hi steve is it possible to update weather data faster than 1 minute as i had a gust of wind this morning that blew down my fence but it never recorded it I'm not familiar with the Watson, but can you tell if the weather station itself noticed that gust (maybe a 'max gust today' or some such?). PS. ...

Re: Feature Requests: multiple FTP targets & SWN
I thought they picked up your file ? Yes, that's how it works. The network setup for each contributor includes a URL for where it can collect either a "clientraw" style file, or a "VWS Sticker" style file, so typically you just upload a suitable file to your website. I now provi...
