Re: UK Extremes from the MetOffice
Phew! It will be interesting to see how you integrate the data into your web sites. http://lethamshank.co.uk/met/wx_extremes.php Just some style then I will fit it somewhere! Unless you write something else to fill the page. :) Knowing nil about js, how would I select only one region to creat...

Re: UK Extremes from the MetOffice
That is rather good!
I had a wee play with it this afternoon, simple setup and it's working fine. Neat.

Re: calibrate pressure against iphone 6
The Galaxy S3 is generally within 1mb of VP2 and 'Sea Level' pressure can be entered on the setup screen but doesn't appear to change the displayed value. (On phone display type *#0*# then tap 'sensors')

Re: WOW Upload
I'm still using and will continue to use Cumulus but decided to send soil conditions. After I started, I carried on with the full upload. I did a lot of searching for a standard cb to % conversion and didn't come up with much, mainly from USA. I found at my location, on clay land, about 130cb = no m...

Re: WOW Upload
Thanks Steve, I misunderstood the purpose of the 'standard' and 'alternative' lists. I assumed that units could be configured to coincide with WOW station settings. I've converted all to o f, mph, & ins. and uploads are good. I am only going to send soil conditions 4 times per day as they change...

WOW Upload
I think I'm being a bit slow here..... I'm playing around with a WOW upload (to upload soil temp. and moisture) and using phpwebtags to fill the url . It is uploading, but only time, date, wind dir, rel hum and soil moisture are appearing on the observation page, and no result or error is returned -...

Re: will lightening trigger motion detection on most cameras
Just a thought, I have 'Axis' cameras for security and in the Axis software there is a 'Prebuffer' setting - I have mine at 5sec, so I get 5sec of video before the trigger event. Someone much smarter than me could possibly write a script this for a webcam(?)

Re: Mine’s Bigger than Yours
Not wildly exciting, but don't get many days like this in February. 8.7 hrs sunshine recorded out of possible 9.2 hrs.

I downloaded this a wee while ago and as far as I have observed, it's pretty much spot-on. Very smart work again - thankyou.beteljuice wrote: Feedback time please ...

Re: PHP Web 'viewer' for Cumulus NOAA Style reports
Had a play with mine and found adjusting 'noaa_rep_container' width could cause this.
Try setting (in noaarep.css) yours to 590px - currently 635px.

Re: New Record? Post here.
Whilst not breaking an all-time record the temperature of 14.3°C at 19:45 last evening broke my January record. An impressive temperature made all the more impressive by the time it occurred. I too recorded my warmest January day since I started in 1991 by over a degree from the 2008 figure. 1 Frid...

Wasn't aware it could occur on rivers. Those are more perfect than any I have seen at sea.
