Plummetting humidity while raining
Final observation: humidity has been drifting down since early May => sensor drift or failure. Edit: By the way, when I attempt to "Select a Graph" outside pressure from 1 May to today, the graph hesitates then disappears. When I click "Select a Graph" again, it comes back, compl...

Plummetting humidity while raining
I have just taken the outdoor station to pieces. There may be moisture inside the circuitry although I didn't look in there. There were spiders and their webs everywhere plus a lot of dust and spider droppings. It is clean now and back in service with a spray of surface insect killer. The readings n...

Plummetting humidity while raining
Hmm. I wonder how. It was calm and the rain rate was low. I have not seen it do this before and we have had big downpours as well as downpours in strong winds since the station went up. Condensation maybe?beteljuice wrote:You mean your sensors / circuitry got wet
Where is the sensor in the unit?

Vantage Vue Lost Connection to Station
Mine has done this from time to time. I assume you are using it wirelessly? Try moving the console so the signal goes through fewer obstacles. Mine works best on one side of the desk rather than the other, where there is a longitudinal wall and cubpoards in the line of sight to the transmitter. You ...

Plummetting humidity while raining
Hello, My Vantage Vue is telling me that the outside humidity is 32% while it is raining. The humidity began falling when it started raining last night. The upshot is that Cumulus has told me of a new record: lowest dew point, -4.2 deg. C. I don't believe it! Does anyone have any similar experience?...

Vantage Vue extreme high rain rate?
Thanks very much for your replies. 1440 mm/hr is 2 tips per second. Maybe the cause is a momentary phenomenon caused by the combination of dust in the cup, spider webs, heavy rain and a little swirl or something in the wind. If I edited the reading, what would I put? I'll leave it. The console shows...

Vantage Vue extreme high rain rate?
Hello, I noticed a while ago that the "(All time )High rain rate" showing on my web site and thus in alltimelog.txt has an odd number. The current value is 1440 mm/hr. Here are the last three values for it in alltimelog.txt: Line 1429: 2011-04-26 11:40 886.200 "All time high rain rate...

Cumulus Update Error?
Hello I have just updated to v.1.9.1.989. I like the new screen appearance. Only thing is, my all time records seem to have been messed with. As soon as I started v. 1.9.1, the all time record light flashed. Records had been posted for Highest Heat index, Highest Apparent Temp, Lowest Apparent Temp,...

Re: Sliders on realtime wind graphs
Earlier I tried the Ctrl-0 and nothing changed, hence my answer to the earlier post. Last night I was playing with Firefox settings looking for a memory leak, and pressed Zoom Reset (=Ctrl+0) in passing and it fixed it! Hmmm. I can't have pressed Ctrl-0 very well. Thanks very much for your help. One...

Sliders on realtime wind graphs
Thanks Paul, that is a relief. I am also using Firefox. It must be something to do with the screen. I'll see what I can find in the set-up. It didn't do that a couple of months ago. Another mystery... Yes, the rain is a result of me messing with console settings and things being reset to zero. Cumul...

Re: Sliders on realtime wind graphs
Thanks for the tip daj. I am afraid it is not the solution.
What size should the area be? There must be some numbers on one of the web files, either html or .js?

Sliders on realtime wind graphs
Hello I have noticed for a while that my realtime graphs have sliders around them on the web (picture attached). I have no idea why. I haven't been playing in the web files because I am not up to speed with html or java. It seems that for some reason the space is not being allocated properly. How co...

Re: Daylight saving causing large rainfall record
Being the idiot that started this topic and having been found out, now I know. I'll keep a separate message file to tell me what has or will be been going on when the data has oddities that need correcting and keep the "corrected" data separate. Thanks very much for your help. Sorry for th...
