All problems now fixed. Panic over. I had a corrupted /weather directory. I copied all the files and then deleted the directory. Then recreated the directory and copied all the files back. Fixed. yes, I can access in filezilla.
I found that I had to remove the - a from the FTP2Weather.bat
cd\cumulus\ftp-data\
ftp -s:daily.ftp

Perhaps my Host changed the ftp requirements.

Seems like it updated now. Will see what happens overnight

Thanks, I'll look into the suggestions. I had a lot of power failures after the recent cyclones and had to recover the data. What part of NZ are you in as I have a couple of spare sets of fine offset stations that may help you trouble shoot?

I use SmartSync as it allows me to backup any changes and can backup "As Is" as well as encrypted if required.

I have the same base station from scientific sales and have had the clip-on chokes on both ends of the USB cable for a year or so, and now rarely have a USB lockup. Not completely cured but heaps better.

I tried removing and replacing the USB on a spare ws1093 but there is no relay click when replacing the USB lead. I thought they isolated the batteries with a diode as I don't remember seeing a relay in any of the base stations I have dis-assembled.

The only place that can produce a click would be the internal speaker so maybe there is some sort of alarm sound.
Does the base unit display all the inside information correctly?

An echo could be true looking at my graph. Trouble it is hard to imagine as mine are 36 hours apart.

Perhaps its time to dismantle the transmitter and check for any water or dirt shorting the tracks for the rain gauge? Also check the pins in the socket or cable aren't rusting,
