Re: iPhone site for Cumulus

the iphone version gives unpredictable results on most browsers -- it's specifically designed for viewing on an iphone using the safari browser. It uses some javascript code which is specific to the Safari browser. Most current browsers (ie8, FF 3.5) can handle (and ignore) it but that is not how it...

Re: Font color change

Looks ok to me -- does adjusting your monitor contrast help?

Or do you mean the word 'Outdoor' should be slightly different than the other text...maybe bold?

Re: Twitter and spam?

My twitter started working after a restart of Cumulus. I guess it has had something to do with the DoS attack on Twitter of late.

Doesn't really explain why I get so many 'spam' followers.

I will be considering my position over the coming few days as to whether I even bother tweeting the weather.

Battery tag

Is the Battery webtag specific to a station type?

Does it refer to the base station or the transmitter?

I just thought I would check on my battery but it returns "0v" and given that I am receiving info I guess the battery is good but my station is not compatible.

Re: Twitter and spam?

No, just the standard Cumulus stuff

www.twitter.com/gosweather

I have also just spotted that there has not been a 'tweet' since 6 Aug - Would errors appear in the debug log?

Re: iPhone site for Cumulus

Just a minor thing - being as fussy as I am - did you miss out the line; <li class="group">Records</li> from under <ul id="records" title="Records" class="panel"> in the last section on purpose? I had initially omitted it to save on a little screen real estat...

Oops -- should have mentioned that -- some PCs take it straight to MyDocuments, others to the parent folder. It depends on how it is setup.

Twitter and spam?

I recently thought I would try out the Twitter feature of Cumulus and I have had it running for about 10 days. It's amazing how many 'followers' I am getting that are complete rubbish -- most are I guess 'bot' accounts and if you look at any of their tweets they are all for viagra/weightloss tablets...

Re: Data Folder Location

In the event that the location of the folder cannot be changed, would some kind person knock me out a simple batch file to copy the Data Folder to My Documents - I tried to write one but my DOS skills are a bit rusty. I would then put the batch file in Scheduled Tasks. Firstly, create a subfolder i...

I was hoping to avoid PHP as not everyone who may want to use the page on their site will have PHP access, but it looks like my only option for now.

Re: iPhone site for Cumulus

...The problem, it seems, is that Blackberries out of the box have Java and CSS turned off and perhaps 99.99% of users don't know this and perhaps only a few who might find out are capable of turning these two functions on. And there lies my problem. I've asked on a couple of BB forums but hand not...
