Re: Will it or won't it..
Not only the daytime maximum to worry about, but also the minimum. 30°C at midnight is possible in some areas, and not dropping below 25°C for many. We're in uncharted territory with this plume.

Re: Soil Moisture sensor
For the six months that I've been using one, I have found that at start of normal rainfall, it will register between 10 and 15 immediately. Drizzle or fine rain will jump to 2 or 3 immediately, and then increase in large increments. Developing dew starts around 0.2 and then increases in small increm...

Will it or won't it..
.. make 40°C in the South East of England
In all my years looking at weather models, I have never seen so many runs show 40°C+ before. To start with, it was played down, probably due to the media causing panic. However, I suspect the pro's aren't ruling it out.
38.7°C is definitely under threat!

Re: WeatherLink Live stability
I restarted CMX, yes. Only left the debug logging on for an hour, so the file wasn't big. 29 days running + 1 hour debug, the file was only 4.8MB.

Well, that streak ended..
CMX was using 100% CPU, so I turned on the logging options, and the only thing I could find was:

There were dozens of those right after I made the post above.2022-07-09 02:43:41.472 sendWebSocketData: Update already queued, dropping this one

Re: GW2001 aka WittBoy
Don't update to the latest firmware if you own a GW2000. The update has crocked mine!

Re: GW2001 aka WittBoy
A lot of it should have been dealt with before putting it in to production and selling it.
I read the posts in that thread from day one, and I actually thought that the haptic sensor on it looked promising. In the real world, it does not substitute any other type of rain gauge, and never will.

Re: GW2001 aka WittBoy
My brother bought one for my birthday. Unfortunately, it's being sent back.
The rainfall sensor is terrible! Nothing has moved on since the weatherflow introduced theirs back in 2017/18. If anything, the Ecowitt one is worse.

Re: Airlink strangeness
Had to update the firmware on my router and my mesh system the other day. 4 reboots in total, each time, airlink values all go to 0 and then spike after reconnection.

Theoretical Solar
So, apart from a little high cloud this morning, the skies were clear enough to give the perfect solar values. However, it is nowhere near the theoretical value. There a was 150 wm2 difference at one point. The settings are all default.
